Great work. I know others have commented, but if someone would add interiors (maybe make them many shops, since Whiterun is supposed to be the trading hub), that would just make it even more epic. The extra buildings and decorations do make it much lovelier, and I'm actually glad it doesn't add NPCs walking around. Tracking and endorsed.
I love your laconic attitude. "Ya, maybe, get lost. Do it yerself. You did it for you. thanks for sharing. Going to try it and give it a whirl. Have a great day
edit. had a lot of laughs reading the comments ;-)
I love this mod. I've used JK's Skyrim ever since I've had the ability to download mods, but Whiterun still felt a bit empty to me building wise. It's supposed to be a massive city, full of trade and people. Even though this mod technically makes places of Whiterun feel compact with new buildings, it also makes it feel bigger than it was. The new buildings are great, I honestly don't mind not being able to open them, and I can now justify that the NPC's added by other mods have "homes." I have a pretty mid-level computer, but only noticed about 5-8 FPS drop in some compacted areas.
My only qualm with the mod is that sometimes the NPC's get stuck and walk into buildings awkwardly until they teleport to where they need to be.This is mostly noticeable when Belethor's assistant finishes chopping wood and gets stuck. Other than that, if anyone is on the fence about downloading it, give it a go!
Edit: After reading all of the comments, it seems like the NPC issue may be related to Immersive Citizens and not a Navmesh.
Follow-up: As I mentioned, I have a mid-level computer. Only after adding JKSkyrim and Dawn of Whiterun did I notice a severe FPS drop (about 20-30 frames in the Marketplace.) Unfortunately I'll have to uninstall for now, but once I get some new computer upgrades I'll be sure to re-download this first thing.
I added like... five. Mods that put a bunch of trees in Whiterun are a pet peeve of mine. Sometimes they can look nice, but it's a tundra. There's not a whole lot going on, tree-wise. You're welcome to put some in if you want, but I make my mods for myself, so I'm probably not going to do it.

It adds trees, and makes Whiterun more filled with life :)
