This seems totally awesome but i'm a little unclear as to whether this affects the actual story - does this mod have any negative effects if I want to play through Dragonborn?
Hiya, haven't downloaded yet but i am planning to when i next go for a round of modding Skyrim. Anyway, I was wondering if this is just a re-texture or if you actually altered the meshes as well? I noticed in the screenshots that the stone walls actually do have the crevices modeled into the mesh and I've noticed in game in the vanilla game that the book textures look kinda flat for those same walls. So yeah, basically just curious XD
Thanks for the question. No, this mod is not just a texture replacer; it replaces almost all of the 'rotting paper' meshes with completely reworked meshes including vertex shading and crevices for the large stones that make up the city. I also added many stone buildings and towers to give a sense that you are walking down some of the narrow alleys and courtyards as well as ancient city vistas.
Hiya, just wanted to update my post now that I've had a chance to play through the mod a bit. I have to say that I was sorely disappointed at the lack of low quality work and sub-par textures. This entire mod is overwhelmingly well done and that is something I can't ignore.
Satire aside, this mod is amazing and it is definitely becoming one of the mandatory mods in my set-up. ^_^ Great job!
A great idea, and well executed if the screenshots are anything to go by Downloading it, will test it out later. The new meshes have that daedric architecture vibe about them too, so they fit in really well. Good job!
