I have so many mods going, I forgot I had this one in my load. So I was wandering around and heard what sounded like a faint cry for help. I ran bravely to go help whoever needed the Dragonborn's help...and I got to rescue a nirnroot. :p
You've gotta help those poor nirnroots. They have it the worst since they can't escape. All they can do is just scream in terror. :D Glad you're enjoying this "mod". :D
Just wanted to come back and say I love this mod! Nothing like being unable to see a Nirnroot in your immediate vicinity and hearing a faint but constant "Hey! Hey! Listen! Hey!" until you track the damn thing down and pick it so it will STOP lmao
Open console command and type in: coc sarethifarmexterior Then press Enter and you should be there
It will teleport you to that nirnroot farm but you will have to go a little bit further from nirnroots and return to make it work. Because when you teleport there all nirnroots will repeat the sound at the same time and you will basically hear it like if there was only one nirnroot. Hope this will help you
That's true. There was a Kirby mod recently that was taken down for the same reason. Wouldn't want you to get in trouble, so maybe best if you upload this somewhere else?
I actually downloaded sound files from the youtube video with some Navi's sound and quotes. I suppose if a video was allowed on youtube and it wasn't exactly on Nintendo's official channel it shouldn't be a problem but I'm well aware. Still I've made some edits. We will see.
If Nintendo copy write strikes me, I will smell it coming. Or I might not. We'll see.
It's the same as using voice acting recorded from a different source. I'm not a moderator though so I'm not trying to tell you what to do. Just friendly advice, once again.
Also, one could say that nexus copy write rules are actually stricter than YouTube. Different folks different strokes you know.
There are Nirnroot replacers with parts of actual songs or even the full songs and they still exist. It would be pretty shitty luck if they caught me O.o
I had a simple PICTURE of a nintendo character (the invincible chicken from LoZ) and it got taken down, maybe nintendo has the nexus in their sights at all times or something and the moderators are being super careful about it. But anyway I downloaded the mod and will endorse when the 15 mins is up (if this mod is still here lol)
That seems a little bit dumb if you ask me. Some mods can be taken down because of picture or sound file from a youtube video but there can be mods taking stuff from LOTR, GoT, Naruto etc? Wow... Or even Witcher III because I know that some mods literally take stuff from that game, like characters. O_o Does Nintendo own Nexus?
Hm. Didn't see Nintendo mentioned on that short list but still. Those files weren't taken from a game itself but a youtube video on a channel not connected to Nintendo in any way and then I edited those files. It shouldn't be a problem.
Whatever the case may be this idea is still brilliant. I've downloaded and endorsed. I'm looking forward to putting this in my mod list once I get my computer set back up.
This mod needs removal right now! How will Nintendo ever make any money when malicious mod makers go around stealing a 10-second audio clip from one of their games? Oh, the humanity!
I don't know if it would be possible, but if you could make the nirnroots emit particles that look like Navi instead of (or alongside) their usual glow, that might be a neat addition.
That's a little bit too far fetched for me. Sorry but I just was playing around with sounds. Making a Nirnroot sound replacer isn't that hard. Maybe in the future if I actually acquire enough skill to perform that but right now I can't. Sorry.
