Because you are working a bit too hard to imagine them that way. Hopefully you will look into what visual features differentiate an adult from a child.
I hate to say this but I may have found a bug. I started a new game from the beginning and when I got to Whiterun, I retrieved the claw and the stone dragon burial map. Then I started doing the Companions quest line. I got my quests from Aela. When I got to the point where she should have told me to go see Kodlak, all she said was good job on completing that mission or something to that effect. She should have then told me to go see Kodlak but she didn't. Could that have anything to do with this mod? I did not download the Aela replacer. I think I did get the rest though. And awesome job on the mod. I really like what you did. Thank you to whoever responds and thanks again for the mod. Update: Since no one is responding i'm going to go ahead and download Aela. I liked her the way I have her now but maybe that is the problem, since I have the others from this mod. I don't know, i'm just going to try and see what happens.
Standalone usually means a follower that doesn't need any other mod to take that look...skin texture,body type,hair etc... However probably he didn't notice this replacer needs skin body and body type to look like that (or he already uses them,so even followers with a need of skin and body type is fine for him)but in positive note,you can choose other skin and body type if u want..
And btw i would love it too seeing rya and aela as followers instead of replacers (The voice of aela is funny in a way with this replacer haha! But is really good looking)
I will post more followers. But kinda on the fence with standalones. Not a lot of armors I can use with different body types other than cbbe and unp. And ofc I have to look for perms for each type. Many modders use one armor for several body types. Which would look weird when you actually get your NPC changed to a matching set (height and body shape changes)
I think that if a person likes a kind of armor is gonna download it an let it use it to the follower if he wants. You could give an example of armor that would look good on that body type with one image and put a link to the armor down below for who wants to use it... (i think it's faster and can give some different ideas to the armor to use on that follower...Just put them on a normal vanilla outfit on the file)
Seems to work well with leyenda textures. Have you had another replacer mod for Aela before this one. If so, walk up to Aela, open console command, click on Aela and type: setnpcweight 60, then hit enter. That should set the proper weight for her in this mod
Yep, either one will do. If you have one installed already, just ignore that. If you have a body mod currently, leave it the way it is. Just make sure this mod is last one installed
I had that problem too! But i figured out that it was immersive armor or unique uniques the problem,can't remember....If in the load order immersive armor is after aela replacer will make it look ugly because there is a change to the shield if i'm not mistaken and it doesn't carry over the changes made by the earlier mod making aela ugly. I bet that if u check on aela character on tes5edit will notice that a mod was changing something after the npc replacer...tes5edit is a pretty good tool

Is there any way to play as any of those characters? I mean on mine but take their appearance...
just go into the mod files and copy the mesh and textures of the face files into the racemenu skse files then you can load them

Low impact mod that does what it says. This is easily the most effective Aela replacer I've used, for some reason all the others have had problems.
