Alright, I'd like to ask. Is there any way to add a buff when a song is listened to or played by the player? I'm not great at the mechanics side of things but if each song gave a different buff like one gives +5 Elementalism for 600 seconds, or +5 one-handed, or +5% speed, or +20% health regeneration, or -10 % falling damage, or grants a summon ancestors ability, or improved crit chance, or crit damage, or sneak, etc.... Then have songs be part of a leveled list of some kind and those songs have higher tiers.

I just really am hoping someone can create an actual bard class.

Hello! I play a male Dova, if I install this mod will the game smartly detect my gender and only play instrumental or male sung Enderal songs?  Or, will I run the risk of the game playing female sung Enderal songs because the majority of the songs in this mod are sung by female VAs?

      Neither!
In the McM just tick the boxes with only male artists.

Do you plan on moving this awesome bard mod to SE soon also I use your mod quite a lot and I don't want to see it abandon?

Without clicking on every single YouTube link, are ANY of these songs actually sung by men?

I get that the vast majority of Skyrim players prefer to pretend to be 10 year-old Japanese schoolgirls and all, but some of us DO play male bards.

    Oh quick request.

Is there a way you can make an optional file or mod that causes the NPC bards to use these songs too in Skyrim? I would love to walk into a tavern and hear the male or female Bard there singing randomly these songs.

Its amazing being able to sing them myself but they would also be great to hear in those places when i am relaxing or talking to others.

I can´t replace the vanilla singing bardsongs because they are split into different segments (verses) and contain files that move the mouth.

However Lute, Flute and Drom songs can be replaced but I don´t know what happens if you replace them with a song that is much longer. They also seem to be in the ".wav" format so you´d have to convert the Enderal songs to it and then create a folder structure like so:

      sound\fx\mus\bard\drum\
      mus_barddrum_01.wav
      mus_barddrum_02.wav
      mus_barddrum_03.wav

      sound\fx\mus\bard\flute\
      mus_bardflute_01_sarba.wav
      mus_bardflute_02_psalm.wav
      mus_bardflute_03_bookoflife.wav
      mus_bardflute_04_ascents.wav
      mus_bardflute_05_trip.wav
      mus_bardflute_06_springhouse.wav

      sound\fx\mus\bard\lute\
      mus_bardlute_01.wav
      mus_bardlute_02.wav
      mus_bardlute_03.wav
      mus_bardlute_04.wav

It´s also possible to replace the sound that plays in taverns (background music). For that you need to create a path like so, but you need .xwm files this time. In my mod´s .bsa archive there are .xwm files so you can use them but you need to extract the .bsa to get the files.

      music\tavern\
      mus_tavern_01.xwm
      mus_tavern_02.xwm
      mus_tavern_03.xwm
      mus_tavern_04.xwm
      mus_tavern_05.xwm

Don´t listen to them too much, you will get sick of them sooner or later

      haha.. ahh okies. no problem.

I didnt realise it was so fiddly and tricky to set up and maybe your right, hearing them too much would be annoying . Plus being able to play them myself keeps them unique and makes my bard singing unique too.

I really do enjoy singing songs now in taverns so you have very much refreshed my joy in being a bard.

Enderal does look like a great mod and if i am not mistaken they are looking to improve it a lot and turn into into a proper DLC for Skyrim.

I really do want to play it and create a player much like the one i use in Skyrim for it.

They´re making a DLC for Enderal, NOT making Enderal a DLC for Skyrim.
What´s stopping you from playing it?
I don´t recommend modding it alot because it´s a mod in itself.
Only mods I use for it are immersive first person fiew and iHUD.
I´m also too lazy to mod 2 games :)

I am going to try it I just need to finish some quests in skyrim and then i will give Enderal a go.

I am not gonna mod it much if i cant help it, but will things like CBBE and mods that change my own apearance work ok with Enderal? I wish to leave the world around me alone in it, but still would like to make my own self modded.

And yes i think iHud and just a few like that would be smart.

I think you can either replace the body files and then everyone will have that body or you can make a new race so only that has the new body but the game might not recognise that race and dialogue and stats might be messed up. Maybe this works: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78341/?

Mesh and texture body replaceers, hair and eye mods and body/hair physics work fine, standalone armours (NOT REPLACERS) also work, but have to be patched in XEdit to work with Enderal's custom races. More complex mods such as sleep mods, camping mods, etc, are a bit hit and miss. I would advise a fairly minimal mod list, and Google around extensively to see if a mod you want works - it's really easy to bork Enderal with mods.

All she did was 3 songs, however she did them in English and German, for a total of 6 songs. My mod has all 6.
The new Enderal expansion didnt have her as a returning artists afaik, so there is no more.

    Hi gruberix!

    Its me again hehe.

I really wanted to beg and ask if your able to somehow make my dream come true and make it so i can use this mod with my Become a Bard in my SkyrimSE game? The Become a Bard mod in SkyrimSE is a little different from the regular Skyrim version in that it doesnt use a MCM menu BUT it does still use Spells to activate to launch songs by artists etc. So Could this amazing mod be used with it as it is or could you make something compatible with the SE version of Become a Bard please?

I so so so want to keep playing these songs and to be able to go to an Inn or just stand in a beautiful spot in SkyrimSE and play these is my dream.

I tried being reeealy cheeky and just manually installing this into my Mod Organiser2 for SkyrimSE praying it might just work but it gives a warning flag saying that it requires a missing esp. LPBard. So i am assuming that the SE version of Become a Bard is a totally different esp.

Please help!! I have left a post in the SkyrimSE Bard mod to see if that author will work something out. maybe you both could bump heads and make this work.

    Thanks. Sophie.

How do i do that? i have manually downloaded your mod and unzipped it and see the esp and bsa files. but i have no idea how to then make them into the xwm files he is talking about. He says to make the music files into wxm files and then put them into a sound folder. Thats like talking to me in a foreign language lol.

I am so not technically minded. I wish he was active and online as i would ask him if he could help make those for me if i sent him the bsa file.
I can make a folder called Sound in my data folder like me said but then trying to turn your bsa into wxm's sounds just crazy. :(
