I've been using this on SSE for years. Look at Laptoprocker's post from September 2019, that's exactly what I did to make it work. Open the .esp in the 64-bit version of Creation Kit and save the plugin, and it should work as intended
Works perfectly on SSE, I just resaved it in CK and tested it on a save running 490 other mods. I'd say it is safe to use as long as the plugin is re-saved in CK.
This mod does NOT rely on SKSE whatsoever (in contrary to what the mod author states in the description), it is just two scripts and an .esp. It only relies on SkyUI.
If only this could be ported to SE. Oh well, gonna try it and see how much stuff breaks. Its annoying when Sofia removes her armour whenever I turn around. I mean, it's in character for her, and funny at times, but good god woman, not when we're fighting trolls and dragons.
You do know that this can easily be done with console ?. All you need do is activate console click on the naked NPC type disable press enter then type enable press enter and the offending NPC will be dressed.
Disable / Enable doesn't always work: just had the guards in Riverwood insist on following the Beowulf school of village protection even after being disabled then enabled.
That is an immersion hole easily filled. The Guards consumed a wedge of Amanita and are going to fight naked as the Berserkers did. Mushrooms in reality gave the Norsemen unlimited stamina and a disregard of injury in battle as long as they stayed high, hence....the berserk warrior. These days soldiers who might expect to be in combat situations for days on end, chew on some sort of speed concoction. Somethings never change.
Click on NPC to get the RefID type the command "resetinventory" press enter is better than disable/enable to re-dress the NPC with original gear but the purpose of this mod is avoid the use of console commands
Actually it's not "easly done" i had to uninstall immersive armors recently due to a crash issue and now every save that had it a lot of npcs (including dremora lord) are all naked and nothing i do dresses them, not disable, or resurrect. even before i uninstalled it i also had random naked npcs and same issue.
@SacredSage, Try RecycleActor and then resetinventory in console. The NPC might disappear and then reappear at it's spawn location after first command.
Those didn't work either, jay. nothing seems to work, i just seem to have perma naked characters. even npcs that did not use anything from that mod, like acolyte jensen and danica pure-spring, are all naked, with no fix.
My final option may be just to see if waiting 31 days helps.
RecycleActor should work on generic NPCs, but Unique actor's will be a problem. You could try installing IA again and activate all armor for NPCs. After all NPCs are clothed, deactivate all armors for NPCs and wait indoors for 31 days. Then check if NPCs have vanilla armor/clothes on now. Save and remove IA. Uninstalling IA leaves armor selections baked in your save. This is why you have naked NPCs.
The only reason i uninstalled it was because one item has a corrupted nif file which nothing i know of can clean it. (the nif clean on nexus is broken and refuses to clean it, and the mod creator has abandoned it) but i was not aware it did that. that could explain it.
I actually JUST discoverd that option, i very rarely, if ever looked at the MCM menu for it, but when i was searching i had noticed i could just tick it off. but thanks all the same, i really DON'T want to uninstall it. cause i love the armors especially considering NPCs randomly use them, and it was mainly out of frustration, i think hoth abandoned the mod as well as there have been no updates for a while. but it's interesting to know the offending armor is already well known.
Woot, now my need to redress every person I find, lol will be so much easier. Now I can take their outfit away from them ( pickpocket) and Give them new ones so much faster. Half the time they would not put on the new outfit, to my sadness.
When I first saw this mod i laughed and went "who the hell needs this! Its completely useless, its only use is if you don't uninstall a NPC armor mod properly, or decide to be dumb and nude a guy up with pick pocketing!" I felt this way for a while, until i walked into Jorvasker, where I saw Farkas, sitting down, and butt ass naked.

Oh, and it merges very cleanly into another .esp for anyone wondering. I used TES5Edit.

Might not be as "easy" as you think.

Also, you can uncheck distribution for Dwarven Battlemage Armor in the IA MCM. This will eliminate the bad female Battlemage gauntlets from your game.
