> Sawn Logs have a small value. (No weight, realistically those suckers would 200+ lbs) They are sell-able just pretend they are laying out in your yard.
Simple immersion: you don't have the logs, you have paper notes representing the logs. Like checks, or runescape https://runescape.fandom.com/wiki/Note
Thank you very much for this mod, I've been searching for exact thing for years! Definitely endorsing! But I did miss 1 x Steel Ingot 1 x Quarried Stone 4 x Clay while building 3 houses, it'd be great to add those materials, tho it's not that much of a bother to add them in console, but still...it'd be great to have complete version.
Best mod for 2017 for this type of help for Hearthfire house building homes, in the chest that there, no problems plus bonus logs to help out your build quicker for those who like me, have done it the hard way each game setup This is a mod that will kept in my collections of a Must for starting out a new game, for now on Thank you for the good edits Kelsenellenelvian Had no problem with all DLC, or add ons too any Hearthfire mods I have used for testing mods out, that is a long list of them Kudos to you PS, you can still used the chest for other mods that used that chest too, eg all DLC plants add after this one had been all removed out of the chest and a few days in game , check the other mod will kick in give you what you desire in that same chest OK Could be sooner or later with some mods , but this makes it a main mod for that chest Works with Another life from Artmoor mods as well ok, Legacy of Dragonborn as well too.
This looks very promising. Once you've built a Hearthfire home the "honest" way, every time thereafter feels like a tedious, grindy chore with with far too much trekking back and forth (made even worse if you disable fast travel); I'm at the point where I've started using the console for materials, but this looks far more convenient, especially since it includes sawn logs. Just a question, though. I use Legacy of the Dragonborn which adds a quest where you are required to buy sawn logs from the Solitude Mill; do you have a sense how this mod interacts with Legacy? Thanks
This mod does not break the Hearthfire quest that adds "Buy logs from a sawmill" to your journal, so it should work with any mod that has you buying logs.
You can also ignore what's in the chests and still build your houses the vanilla way.
Thank you very much for the quick reply. I figured it should be fine, but it never hurts to be cautious.
EDIT
OK... I installed this a few hours ago, and I don't think it is EVER leaving my load order! It's simple, elegant and efficient. Hell, one can even RP that the jarls are exceedingly generous with their supplies... Or, in the case of certain jarls.. that blackmail might have been involved.
As I wrote above, building a Hearthfire home the vanilla way is fine the first time... but after that, it's just a lot of pointless, tedious running around. Moreover, while some may view this as a cheat, I'd disagree, simply because unless you use mods that impact the economy, it's not as though funds are hard to come by in the game.
So... thank you for releasing this, it's much appreciated!
Thank you thank you thank you! I prefer to live in Solitude in most of my games, but enjoy using the homesteads as housing for my housecarls. Being able to give them nice homes without going through the hassle of gathering all the items is great! The simplicity of the mod is the best part. I used Hearthfire Materials Warehouse before and while it worked great it was more than I really needed.

Yeah you can still go buy logs.
