11-16-18: Hi all, just a quick update during my lunch. I've been swamped with real world stuff and haven't paid much attention to modding (or video games for that matter) for the past few weeks. No worries, I'm not permanently gone or anything and I will work on the bugs soon (soon being a relative term, as always). Feel free to comment, I'll definitely get to it at some point. Thanks!
So far so good. All I really wanted to do was put a ward on a shield and goal accomplished. Just wish it held up for as long as I was blocking or had magic reserves. Sputters out after a few seconds. Not the worst. Still good enough for a well timed block against a shout. Switching from weapons to spell/weapon was driving me crazy.
Only other nit is that I wish I didn't have to press a hotkey to activate it. If I put a spell-enchantment on a weapon/shield, it would be great if it activated whenever I used that piece. Instead, a hotkey to enable/disable might be useful. But to "charge per use" is a little tedious.
Otherwise this mod combined with "Smart Cast" is a real game changer. Huzzah!
Great mod but I'm having a weird little problem. Mods working fine, I chose the steel spellsword and it works fine but when I try to make my own weapon with the spell slot enchantment, In this case a Fine Silver Sword, it was working but now its not. I didn't change anything from the last time I played when it was working, and I can still cycle through spells just not case any with my Silver Sword specifically. When I switch back to my original Steel Spellsword though that weapon CAN cast spells. What's up with this, am I doing something wrong?
Though I can make the mod work in my skyrim, it freeze my actor (cannot move but can change direction, disable all control key) everytime fail to enhance a weapon, anyone have same issue and any solution?
Can someone explain me better how to put my spell I learned to a weapon? its not working, I have spell in my right hand, then I go to inventory and pressing cast spell on my weapon, nothing happens
hello everyone, I have such a problem, adding spells to weapons with cells does not work, it gives out such an inscription, ""this item cannot be enchanted with spells and is devoid of any spell casting power""
Hi, I'm trying to use/install this mod but enabling this mod makes the start screen to never load. After the Bethesda logo animation, it just shows the black screen with the Imperial seal and nothing else. SKSE log is just stuck in "reading SkyUI english blah blah".
Tried changing the load order (putting Spellsword at the bottom); tried enabling/disabling/changing load order of the Renamer .esp; tried re-downloading the files. The only thing left is try to use older versions of this mod. Any other ideas?
Playing through Steam in an Ubuntu laptop, no problems with other mods so far.
