Great mod, works just fine. Inigo follows me without problem. Thanks for the instructions how to get it to work everywhere and with fast-travel disabled. Because part of why I wanted this (apart from it being very useful) is because I got fast-travel disabled I want this as back-up it's a good way to get out of sticky situations like being lost in rain a dark night with a broken leg.
This is very reliable, simple, works just right. And best of all, it works outdoors. I haven't had issues with followers; I've been using it with Serana and STYX, with Amazing Follower Tweaks. Some mods aren't properly navmeshed, but both followers catch up with me after fast-traveling, or at the next loading door. I've also used it to get around bugged autoload doors.
This is a very nice mod. I'm pretty shocked it doesn't have more endorsements. However, what is the reason for disabling the use of these spells in combat?
Quite a few reasons. AFAIK enemies don't regen between fights if you return quickly enough, so you could teleport to your home in the middle of the fight every time you get low on health/magicka, regen, and return to fight a weakened foe. Another is the ability to accidentally break quests without realizing it. You could also use it to, say, raid a giants chest without stealth and teleport away as he aggros. Lots of reasons. Lore wise... Too much stress? Too fragile a spell? IDK.
You could just make it so you can't move and that casting time for the spell is kind of long and leaves you vulnerable while casting so that if you try you will likely get the crap beat out of your PC and die. Would be more immersive. In addition make it so getting hit interrupts the casting. Just lost a spell that works just like this when uninstalling a mod, don't even know which one it was...
Note to Frostfall users (and probably other mods that mess with fast travel): The scripts used by this mod will not allow you to Mark or Recall if Fasttravel is disabled. You will get the "disturbances in the aether" message and the Mark or Recall attempt will fail. This includes not having an axe in your inventory if you have the "axe required for fast travel" setting enabled.
Also, be sure you have *successfully* set a Mark before casting Recall. Trying to set a Mark if "enemies are near" will cause it to fail.
Looks like this mod is long abandoned by its author. Not a big problem as it works perfectly, but there's one thing this mod could benefit from. If only someone could change these spells from one of two schools to use different coordinats so we could have 2 different points of return - one for i.e. home and one for current location. Anyway, endorsed.
