To all those having issues with Astana's Atronach ability causing the annoying swirling effect:

The above mod removes the swirl effect entirely via a .esp or dummy .nifs. I personally chose the latter version since it frees up a precious mod slot for other mods. If the .nif version asks to overwrite anything, click "Yes" & say goodbye to the annoying swirl effect. Hope that helps solve the annoyance of the Atronach ability's visual annoyance & will hopefully stop the author from being bombarded with requests to remove the Atronach ability from Astana. Cheers.
The skill bonus for the usual NPC or follower is around 35 points spread out among the various skills, Astana has over 200 such skill bonus points. So yeah she is definitely overpowered. She also has spells she will never be able to use since her skill level in such areas as Alteration and Conjuration never go above fifty, which she has right from the get go. Yet she has perks to allow her to become master and expert in those fields which she will never attain. In the lower levels she is outright overpowered but I assume the higher the level the more balanced she MAY become. Her skills, spells and perks are too formidable for the early levels, and many are redundant or unnecessary in the later levels.
She looks like a million bucks mfeile1974 - let her become unique progressively. Give her a chance to mature as time goes on, and hopefully specialize in certain areas. We all want to spend time with her and watch her succeed.
it's a pretty common issue. often see it if the follower has the Atronach perk, or some perk that ABSORBS magic. and then, if the player uses a mod that has a cloak effect that interacts with npcs around them, then the follower will get the dreaded blue swirls. it used to be caused by lotsa mods like Footprints, Wet n Cold ect, but many stopped using the cloak effect. the link above is a more recent one that uses the cloak.
to get rid of the blue, u can remove the absorbing perk from the follower, or u can set the cloak effect spell from the offending mod with the "no absorb/reflect" flag
Mookeylama - Is the Atronach perk you're referring to the Atronach Conjure Spell? I have three followers with the constant blue swirl and it's annoying to the point that I'm thinking of deleting those followers. Can you explain the steps to remove or edit the settings you're referring to? I'm not familiar with what you're referring to.
I removed Wet & Cold mod, but that didn't solve the problem. Still have the same constant blue swirl around this character and two others that I've seen thus far. If it's the Atronach spell, I don't know how to remove that.

She works perfectly, no ctd and no texture issues. I only have a problem... she is too strong... im playing on master difficulty and she is killing any enemy in less than 60 seconds, im starting the game(lvl -10) pls consider decrease his damage.
