I can report 12 years later that this works well in AE!
Only adds the xtra hairstyles to your specific gender (male hair is NOT unlocked for females, and vice versa)
It even adds the vanilla hairstyles to custom races -ONLY tested with the Ancient Falmer Snow Elf mod, however- but I was very happy when I could unlock the Nord hairstyles for my Snow Elf playthrough!
Does this also unlock the hair for all genders? E.g. in vanilla female Dunmer do not have access to the same hair options as male Dunmer; does this mod fix that?

Something like this for tatoo would be good too. I think orc's tatoos are the coolest, but i refuse to play as one of them since i'm more like the sneaky type and lore-wise, it wouldn't make sense to create an orc for that playstyle.
In all fairness, you do not have to follow race steriotypes at all times for the character, figure out a neat little backstory for your Orc thief and go for it.
