This mod goes against all of the lore of TES. What a stupid mod. The Elves are not supposed to be short midgets in this game series. If you all want short little Elves, go to some other different fantasy setting.
First. Thank you for this mod. Saves me loads of time of doing exactly the same thing myself.
Second. For those who argue about "lore". Literally one of the voiced dialogue lines in Skyrim from a Nord Innkeeper is "What do you want LITTLE elf?" This is me playing an altmer by the way.
Third. Bethesda breaks their own lore all the time. ALL OF THE TIME. You attack a mod author for breaking the lore in a NON CANON Mod? You all do know that Talos betrayed the Nords right? Isn't it super LORE FRIENDLY that Skyrim is ready to die for Talos? Makes zero sense. Stop being zealots and use your brain. Lore is cool and all, but believe me, it's not the end all be all.
I know this isn't lore friendly but I've always disliked the physically weak 7 foot high Elves and after several 1000 hours in Skyrim a little experimentation is fine. I really honestly prefer this aesthetic. Good job!
Thanks for this great mod!! I hated how high elves were taller than nords. I like how the women are shorter than the men too, because generally that is how it really is.
Great mod for my wood elf PC. My only complaint is that it is not working on the NPCs at all. Why is that? I see Jenassa there is certainly shorter than her human counterpart, but my Jenassa is still human height. What could possibly be conflicting with this mod? It obviously works, since my wood elf PC has no complaint (she likes her men tall, dark and handsome to say the least hehe). I have still endorsed you.
ImageGuru: I am going to respectfully decline that request. Not that it would be difficult, but if I do that, then eventually I would have requests to do every single custom race that comes down the line, and a elder scrolls game gets mod additions for...well hell, morrowind still has mods coming out for it.
I will say though its really, really easy to do. just load up the creation kit, load in the skyrim.esm and the race you want, then go to races tab, alter the height of the base your wanting (drowfem in your case) and just push down the height a slight bit. then save and initialize your desires. Dont worry, you cant screw anything up..anything you save is in its own unique esp verses saving into anything else..so, if you nerf it, just delete your new esp you made and start again...but it really is easy. like a 1 minute self teaching. The most intimidating thing about modding skyrim is the decision to do it in the first place.
I started using this mod with a High ELf character and loved it. There was one definitely problem when using anything that the character put her hands on, in which case, her hands would go in up to her wrist. Pity that the animation can't handle the height change.
One request though...I've been using the Drow race (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16819). Is there any chance you could modify this mod to include this custom race?
Nao: through the construction kit, just alter the race size depending on what your wanting..but it does it for all of that race (say dark elf females everywhere).
Khan: Not that I am aware of. just height adjustment..didn't touch anything else
Altmer: Your the type that also complains about skimpy armor on the nexus because its against both lore and logic, aren'tcha. your not grasping the philosophy behind the nexus.
