It connects it up to General Stores storage, which has an category-based auto-sorter, and you can have share stuff in any other location that also has this chest/activator. Multiple virtual chests in one spot rather than hunting for the right one out of dozens. I find it to be much more convenient than using the sorting system that comes with Levelers Tower and I already have pretty much every other home in my game hooked up to it already (via other mods).
