I cannot get the two to work together. even with the patch it isn't recognizing dark maneuvers blood point system. really love the mod, is my favorite. How can I get what I consider the two beast to work together?
Yes, the author of Better vampires has a compatibility patch for Sarcrosanct, Vampire Royal Bloodines and actually recommends downloading Dark Maneuvers alongside his mod. He details the load order and instillation procedures on his website for most other mods and outlines the same instructions on his comparability patch for BV and Sacro.
Is it possible? Yes. Is it a good idea? Oh God no.
Running Sacrosanct and Better Vampires together is a terrible idea regardless of the patch that allows them to work somewhat nice together. Said patch breaks a great deal of Sacrosanct's mechanics, and the patch clearly favors Better Vampires of the two to make the merger happen. According to Enai Siaion, using both mods with the patch "removes most mortal form features from Sacrosanct (all innate and racial abilities, draining, blood magic progression, blue blood quest, Sacrosanct thirst stages, vampire rank progression, several powers and spells), disables some perks related to feeding (Psychic Vampire, Foster Childe, Amaranth, White Wolf) and modifies powers and perks in unintended ways to match its own balance approach (Lamae's Pyre)".
So in short, while you can use them together, it's better that you don't use them together.
I was wondering the same. I guess the only way to find out is to try, and in case it doesn't work, well, at least you'll be able to gain blood points with the feeding killmove only, which is better and more immersive so, do as same as i: install the patch and let's see what happens :/
Certainly does not work with sacrosanct version 5.10 cause the sneak feeding (when the person is not in bed) does not work at all. Which is the only reason that I want Dark Maneuvers.
My vampire lord form is stuck in the floating idle animation. I am unable to sprint or use any spells, only powers work. Did i do something wrong while installing ?
its really simple, you have to add the bloodpoint script from dark maneuvers to the vl drain spell from sacrosanct it lets you absorb blood points as well as learn spells from other magic users ready to cast it at you
There is already a patch for Sacrosanct included in the BV install process. There are some serious changes to Sacrosanct in doing so but you will be able to use all of Enai's spells. I am pretty sure you will find patches for all three mods when installing BV though Idk if they all work together.

I mean Ss is primaly a perk mod and DM a spell mod , why a patch ?
it lets you absorb blood points as well as learn spells from other magic users ready to cast it at you
