~~~ Description ~~~

This file is a conversion of Mage Nails by HumanNature66 to UUNP BodySlide. Original mod is still required. This file contains only meshes and files for BodySlide.

WARNING: Nail alignment is optimized for using with Fair Skin Complexion, other skin texture replacers with painted nails may show different results

~~~ Installation ~~~

  • Install original HN66s Mage Nails
  • Install this conversion
  • Open BodySlide and select 'Mage Nails' group
  • Generate meshes using your body preset

~~~ Optional files ~~~

The original plugin changes 'Race' records to make nails visible in first person however those changes were made before USLEEP was a thing. That's why I provide an optional patch to make the original plugin and Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch compatible. This patch merges USLEEP 'Race' records with HN66s Mage Nails 'Race' records.

Make sure to load HN66smage4vanilla_USLEEP.esp after the original esp. Your load order should look like that:

~~~ Compatibility ~~~

This file has the same compatibility as the original plugin, it modifies 'Race' records and will conflict with plugins doing the same (i.e. Imperious, Complete Male Overhaul).

However I provide USLEEP patch which merges changes from USLEEP and changes from Mage Nails.
Complete Male Overhaul patch is also provided. If you're using it make sure to load it after USLEEP Patch.

~~~ Known Issues ~~~

You will see original nails painted on the hands texture. This issue can only be fixed by editing out nails from your hands texture. Since there are a lot of different skin replacers I won't be fixing this until someone provides me modified textures for the popular skin replacers without nails.

Although I will try to improve this conversion and make these nails to conform your hand mesh as close as possible to hide original nails. For instance I'm using Fair Skin Complexion for nail alignment.

If you still want to get rid of the original nails:

  • Remove nails from your hands textures (/textures/actor/character/female/femalehands*) and save them with a different name
  • Add UUNP hand reference to the conversion in Outfit Studio
  • Change default texture paths for the hand to the textures you just edited
  • Save project and re-generate meshes

This will allow you to have default nails when mage nails are unequipped and no default nails when mage nails are equipped.
