I am running a fresh install of Skyrim, I downloaded Alternate Start to skip the intro. First, I downloaded SKSE Then I downloaded the base ENB from ENBdev (latest version) and edited my prefs.ini as per its instructions. Then I included ENBhelper. Then I downloaded Skyrim Particle and Subsurface Scattering Patch for ENB Then I downloaded vivid weathers via NMM, and unticked the ESP in NMM. Then I downloaded Snowfall via NMM. Lens was already disabled, so I left that as it was.
I get in the game, and I can see the ENB preset has seemingly taken effect, but I can't get snowfall to put snow on the ground like it says it can.
Testing takes place in riverwood, the place in their screenshots. I tried setting the timescale to 10000 I tried fwc8221 (or whatever it is for snow storm) The snow never appeared anywhere on the ground.
Venting/Rant: Am I a moron or something? It is the most complex mod i have ever had the displeasure of installing. This is my sixth fresh install over the course of a week. The first was when I tried to install all the compatibility patches for all the mods I needed. This ENB started a ridiculous ripple effect by conflicting with AOS. I ended up installing 20 mods/patches! The end result crashed me anytime I tried to enter Helgen Keep or load a save. This time I left AOS out, & am solely trying to install this mod, but even that isn't working! This thing is an abomination in modding!
I found the secret! hahaha! You know how when something has NMM as an option, you just assume that said download doesn't require a manual installation? WRONG! When the description says to empty the one folder's contents, the author isn't talking about manual only installations, he/she means mod manager installations too! You manually dump them inside!
NMM install the mod, Then manually download and dump the folder labeled dump into skyrim directory into the appropriate directory! HAHAHA! YES!!!
BTW: walk inside a building and then out of it to reload the outdoor cell. "set timescale to 10000" in console to test for snow
