Players who also use the Hunterborn mod will be pleased to learn that the Hunterborn and Wearable Lanterns patch has been recently updated so that the patch now works with Enderal. The patch can be found wth the Hunterborn mod's files.
This mod doesn't seem to stock General Store Merchants with wearable lanterns and their fuel—if the mod is supposed to add the latter—in Enderal: Special Edition even before and after using CAO.
Is there another way to make this work with Enderal: Special Edition? I'd like to use the lanterns without having to cheat (i.e., enable the settings that make it so the wearable lanterns last indefinitely).
I love the mod, so thank you first and foremost! I'm having an issue in which my lantern turns on and off irrespective of which setting I pick. Manual, automatic, oil, no oil, nothing makes it stay on. It doesn't matter where I am or the time of day/weather, it just keeps toggling. I even tried following someone's advice on Steam about opening the mods up and removing the FormIDs that had errors, but that didn't change anything either. I don't know much about this stuff, it's way over my head, so I was wondering if anyone here could help me, please. Thanks! <3
Is some kind soul willing to help me with a detailed how to install? (Googling results all assume I know what I’d doing, which I don’t :( ). I want to install Wearable Lantern and manually downloaded https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17416 and https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/79075 (Enderal Patch) I downloaded both files and put the two .esp files in the data folder, ticked them in data files (making sure the patch was above as instructed). Should I have added other stuff too? I do not get a notification message from MCM (mod configuration manager) that a new menu has been registered,. Whilst I can manufacture the Travel Lantern, when I equip it it does not show up, nor can I edit the settings as they also do not show up in MCM.
Your installation should be good as long as you overwrote the StorageUtil.dll within the SKSE folder, in addition to installing the .bsa and .esp files that come with Wearable Lanterns (those two files should be loose within the data folder). Then the .bsa and .esp files from the Enderal patch should be installed into the data folder as well. If this is already the case, then start up the game and activate the console (~) and type "setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1". This should add the Wearable Lanterns menu and allow you to change the settings.
If this isn't successful, I would recommend you to revert Enderal to a vanilla state, and then download Mod Organizer and install mods through that. Honestly, you shouldn't be manually installing mods for these games, as it can become a mess very quickly and become virtually impossible to uninstall some mods, especially if you haven't been backing up vanilla files. Mod Organizer allows you to do many things, but at its core, you're able to install and uninstall things easily and efficiently. If you need help setting any of this up, feel free to DM me.
Thank you Ravenscans... Patch work wonderfully, , I just recently re started playing enderal, coming from skyrim and fo4, love wearable lanterns in skyrim and now I love it enderal .. Tracking - Endorsed - Kudo'd Thank you
I have issue with the lantern turning off by itself. I have disabled the need of oil so it should stay always on, right? With hotkey I can put it on again, but it's annoying when the lantern decides to turn itself off during combat. Is this problem with this patch or the base mod?
It should not be a problem with the patch. I can think of two things that might cause the lantern to automatically go out when oil need is not used or disabled. 1) Time has passed, and it is now day time. Not sure if base mod takes current weather into consideration. 2) Player transitions to a different worldspace. I believe scripting will turn it off when entering what is considered an "indoors" area.
I have a problem with Amanda follower mod.i put a travel lantern in her inventory. It shows up on her.It shows "About your lantern" on her dialoge but when i activate it game exites dialoge. This dialoge is from wearable lanterns is it not.isnt this in the patch to work with followers.Hope u can help
Version 1.1 has fix for follower dialog not working with the Amanda follower mod.
It should also work with any other follower mods similar to the Amanda mod. And hopefully with any NPC co-opted into being a follower by mod(s) that can do that sort of thing or console commands.
