Yep! This is f*#@ing epic. 10/10: combined with mods that eliminate all light in dungeons and ruins, this is a surefire way to ensure that you s#*! yourself in Bleakfalls Barrow, lol.
These sounds are amazing; makes the Draugr terrifying again. The only problem I have is the sounds are waaaaaaay too loud. I understand this was answered in the stickied comment, but there's no "low pitch patch" listed in the file downloads (unless I'm missing something). Also, Legacy III doesn't seem to make the sounds any quieter. Other than that, fantastic work.
Ok so, IMO this is the best draugr sounds set on the nexus if you want them to sound more threatening / rework them in general to be more of an enemy type and less of a pushover, it definitely achieves that better than any sound overhaul - be it specific to draugr or a broad one that changes a lot - that I've ever tried.
With that said, V5 at least has a jarring aspect in that its volume is somewhere between 150% - 200% of the original game volume if I had to guess. It's quite disconcerting - it's not obscenely loud, it won't be painful to listen to with headphones if you're on a reasonable volume, but IT IS jarring and a tad disruptive, so if that sounds like something that will bother you, perhaps try the suggested solution of using the old version with the low pitch patch the author mentioned.
If I do not update this comment again, it is likely that doing so solved the issue for me.
I truly love this mod, definitely adds a more sinister detail to their audio ques.
I would like to ask if you would consider creating an alternate version of this mod with a reduced audio tweak to lower the loudness by approx 25-35%?
The audio FX in it's current is overpowering alongside many other audio FX, kind of like having two differing music files where one is too quiet an the next in line is too loud.Sometimes it breaks the immersion of the moment.
Again regardless of consideration or not, it will remain in my build list. Thank you again.
Hi! i love this mod and really want it to work but am currently only getting some of the sounds, like the death noise... (the subtitles will read the dragon language but the draugr won't actually say anything). Any ideas? Thanks much! Note: the only other sound mods I have are the Sounds of Skyrim series (dungeon, civilization and wilds), but I tried removing them and it didn't fix. I also have the dragons, vampire lord, and falmer ones downloaded <3
