As noted on the Description tab, this mod's changes have been incorprated by the SureAI team into the official Enderal release (as of version 1-1-7-0).
If you have updated to Enderal version 1-1-7-0 or higher you should uninstall this mod. (if you installed my mod manually instead of with a mod manager be careful to not uninstall the sureai version of the '_00E_LevelSystem.pex' script)
Somehow my game is bugged. I have version 1.2.5.0. The attributes show up as 0. Installed this mod without the esp and it's fixed now. Not sure whats's up. Might have been a buggy update as I was running version 1.1.4.0 initially. Just putting this information out there for anyone who needs it.
This is seems like a great mod but I can't get it working. Using Enderal is v1.1.5.3 and when I run the game the level up experience breaks. Meaning if I kill something or discover a new place, the experience points are not displayed as being received. I disabled all the mods except for this one to see if there was a conflict and it still didn't work. I uninstalled and reinstalled but that didn't work either. Is there something else I can do?
I just tested my Enderal game files with the v1.1.5.3 updates and my Level-Up mod, and displaying experience points and leveling still function like they should. So, I'm not sure what's wrong in your case.
Here are some basic steps for checking that the mod is installed correctly ...
1) Check your game's 'Data' folder to make sure you have the 'Enderal LevelUpWithAttributesDisplay.esp' plugin file.
2) Check the 'Scripts' folder (it is a subfolder under 'Data'), you should have a file called '_00E_LevelSystem.pex' there which has a size of 4,700 bytes. You can right-click and select Properties to see the exact file size in bytes.
3) Double-check that the 'Enderal LevelUpWithAttributesDisplay.esp' plugin is enabled. Find your 'Plugins.txt' file and open it(with Notepad or other editor), there should be a line in there like this: Enderal LevelUpWithAttributesDisplay.esp I believe most people that use (NMM) Nexus Mod Manager or the Enderal Launcher will find the Plugins.txt file in this folder: C:\Users\<your-windows-user-name>\AppData\Local\Skyrim\ [Mod Organizer users will find it in their character's profile folder]
So When Unistalling enderall Something when wrong and the vanilla Level/skills menu is still missing, dont suppose it would have anything to due with 00e levelupscript.pex still being present would it?
Not a chance of that. Firstly, it is a script that originated with the Enderal mod, if you've uninstalled Enderal cleanly there should not be any scripts/quests/etc that could invoke it. Secondly, the script only gets called as experience points are gained, it has nothing to do with the vanila skills menu.
I can only make some guesses as to what you should check without trying to duplicate your problem. You might try looking at what you have in this folder: \ Data \ Interface In my setup that folder only has one file in it, 'Translate_ENGLISH.txt'. I use Mod Organizer, so it appears the same as vanilla. If you use NMM (nexus mod manager) it may have files from other mods you have installed. E.g. SkyUI. If you do use NMM and have a mix of files in there, you can try deactivting any UI mods, then reactivating them to refresh/reinstall them. Hopefully NMM will keep your plug-in order if you do that. One particular file to look at if it is present would be: \ Data \ Interface \ controls \ pc \ controlmap.txt
Hi, Enderal updated to v 1.1.3.3 today and when I got the level up message the three values were all at '0'. All good in the 'Hero' menu so just a display issue I think. Hope that is helpful and thanks for the mod!
The 1-1-3-3 update included the files which my mod overwrites. I checked and the script in 1-1-3-3 is the same as was in earlier version 1-1-2-0. Depending on the mod manager you use (or if you do not use a mod manager) the 1-1-3-3 update could overwrite the script for my mod. If you use NMM (nexus mod manager), I think you can deactivate my mod then reactivate it to reapply my changes. If that does not work for NMM, or if you do not use a mod manager, just reinstall the mod.
Note for others: people who use Mod Organizer should not be affected by the 1-1-3-3 update, due to MO's storage of mods separately from the main game Data files.
I deactivated and reactivated your mod in NMM then loaded the save from yesterday which was just before level up. I can confirm that this does re-apply your changes so all is good once again.
I updated the mod's permissions to grant the SureAI team the right to use my changes.
I also left an email with SureAI. I got an auto-reply from the project lead person. He is taking a well deserved four month vacation well away from Germany. In the reply he says that he will be checking emails every week of so. My email might get copied or forwarded to a couple of other project members for consideration. We shall see what happens.
