this is awesome! what would really make my day is if the right click randomly selects the left and right hand punching animations. maybe there's a mod that does that, that's tailored to unarmed blocking mods like this?
That is so damn cool. I'm not able to load it into my game right now, but I poked around in CK and it looks like mostly what you did was add the shield slot (and maybe some bash sound data?) onto otherwise standard gauntlets. Could it really be that simple?
Oh, I just thought of a flaw. If you want to switch from sword-and-board to a spellsword playstyle, you'd have to unequip your gauntlets to hold a spell, is that right?
Thanks! The idea just hit me the other day and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I will hopefully have an update in a week or two. I will most likely be working on the crafting aspect next.
