Hi Nox, I know your patch fixes requiem in a way I enjoy. However it also includes affects to hunting. Do you know if your patch will mess up the HUNTERBORN mod within ULTIMATE SKYRIM?

Thanks for these tweaks. I seem to recall you had a mixed armor tweak at some point that made mixing light and heavy armors more viable. Is that still around?

PS. I think there's a typo error in Basic Hunting - the trophy giant tusk has a value of 3 gold, and a weight of 500. Meant to be the other way around? Not much of a reward currently :D

Mixed Armors was not so easy to be made useful, so I decided that I remove it.

And yeah, Giant Tusk has the values backwords lol. Have to fix that later...

Thank you for simple hunting. I wanted something unbloated, but better than vanilla requiem. Enjoying the tweaks so far.

The tweaks sound good, will use it in my new campaign. I like the ideas for the throwing options.

But what I do not really get is why darts are ruled by the Marksman tree. It's quite redundant as you already have a strong ranged option, also shooting a bow or crossbow does not make you good at throwing. Wouldn't it be possible to attach it to Onehanded and Twohanded? Poking with a sword does not make you a thrower, ok, but a whole lot of warriors in our world had combined throwing weapons with melee weapons, not so many throwing weapons with bows/crossbows. Is it necessary to couple it with Marksman because of the ranged expertise system of Requiem 3+?

The idea behind making it work with Marksman tree was because it made most sense 'to me'. I thought it could be said that Marksman skill is associated to skill of aiming precision, dexterity, and all stuff related to ranged attacks. Meanwhile 1H and 2H are melee range, technically.
Also, Throwing Weapons were in Marksman skill in Morrowind. I could do the same.

Aiming throws is different from working bows or crossbows, and you use other muscle groups. But it's ok from RP, and the advantage of Marksman is also to have one tree as the ruling one, not two. Am I right in assuming that throwing also levels the Marksman tree? I'm still at the beginning of my campaign and did not try a dart yet.

BTW, may I ask how you get a scroll working with the Requiem expertise system? When I tried throwing weapons from a mod earlier (2.x) they really sucked, and ogerboss wrote that it wasn't possible to apply ap to scroll damage.

Yes, it levels Marksman skill, though bit slower than bows/crossbows.
Darts don't have any Armor Penetration. Marksman Expertise (to be renamed as Armor Penetration with Requiem 4.0) gives you slight damage boost to Darts instead.
Elemental Darts do 1.5x elemental explosion damage compared to elemental arrows/bolts to compensate for no AP, for mid-late game viability.
+) I could make Darts have fixed Armor Penetration values (like 5%, 10%), instead of being governed by dynamic Marksman Armor Penetration value. But words were that Darts having no Armor Penetration makes more sense.

From the experience I had to this date, the darts are quite useless, sadly. I increased damage a lot (iron has 70 damage for example) and still they are very subpar. I needed about 5 to 6 to kill a Forsworn (version 3.4.0), that's much too dangerous. Stopped using it.

The bombs on the other hand are very helpful. I increased damage a bit and doubled the price, making it hard for me to get them (I don't craft and am usually broken), but they are worth the efforts. Such a fire bomb recently was the only way to get rid of a lonely pesky firemage who occupied a bandit camp and was invincible otherwise (by me, my companion and summons). The strongly curved trajectory was great here, I could hide behind an obstacle and gave the mage an impression of Tamriel grenade trench warfare.

Darts are designed to be semi-realistically weak indeed. I too would really love to make them more viable, but part of me won't allow me to make Darts to so easily one-shot people in armors...

I keep getting directed here for Nox's Mix Armor Types, but I see no mention of it anywhere. Could someone please tell me if those tweaks are still available.

Oof late reply. Mixed Armor Types is outdated and I dropped it completely.
Ultimate Skyrim has my tweak integrated though.

Hi Nox! Can I apply this fix to an existing save? And do I have to run Reqtificator? Thanks in advance for your reply.

All will work on existing saves. And run the Reqtificator.
(Some do not need Reqtificator but doesn't hurt to run it anyways)
