Warning to future users: The Ambrosia price reductions are bugged and will make Ambrosia no longer cure Arcane Fever at all. At least the half price does, have not tried the quarter price.
It happens with the quarter price as well. It's easily fixed in EnderalEdit or the CK though: Just locate the record for Ambrosia, then change the effect magnitude back to 20 and duration back to 1.
Wow. Thank you for this mod. I buy virtually nothing but skill books and the occasional ambrosia potion. I'm level 20 and have 55 learning points and 23 crafting points that I can't afford to use. I think Enderal is an unbelievably awesome mod but... the skill book prices just seem really off.
Great mod, thank you! It is only fair to lower books prices. Considering how little of a difference leveling these skills actually does, it was quite strange to see the original prices.
It is made on purpose to force people to go looting and spend time playing if they want to buy those books. Not only books, prices for everything is too high, the loot is not rewarding enough and the progression is slow and weak. After 20 hours you understand that they are useless and that you could beat the game without any books or memory points because they do nothing. I'm level 20, I have 50 in archery, most memory points in archery and my bow deals an amazing 22 of damges, finally I can kill wolfs in only 4 arrows.
I use Wildcat combat mod with 3x player damage and 4x damage received, game is incredible now fighting more than 3 enemies is very scary, I'll manage to bring two down with my bow then i have to switch to sword and shield, then combat because very much like chess, incorrectly time a block and its game over. I recommend it.
I hear archery was weak, I also hear its kind of on purpose because of something to do with the concept of stealing the books? Anyways so this wont lower my incentive to play?
And that is wrong because... ? That's how they balanced their mod, you either squeeze the mod dry and get all out of it or just get the demo by playing casually. I personally find prices just right if not a bit too low because I loot every single collectible and find all the valuables scattered around. I just feel like rambling a bit about casuls, complaining about unbalanced or cheat mods is pointless.
