- Added alternate helmet mesh (thanks again ScrollThief). Older helmet version is still in the mod, listed as "Veterans Thorn Helmet." - Added Heavy Armour version.
The last update will just fix the normal maps of the cuirass so that blood stains don't show up in non-existent parts of the armour. Expect it within the week.
As of today (11/09/16) there will be no further support/changes to this mod for at least a couple of months as I'm back in college.
April 2018 update: I've gotten back into playing games and I might work on some of the issues people have with the armour in the coming weeks. No promises though. I've yet to touch Special Edition so I can't say anything about porting it either, especially not in the state it's in.
May 2018 update: Planning on re-doing the mod from the ground up. Will try to port when I finish, still no promises.
April 2020 Update: I lost the files to this project like last year. Feel free to port this over to SSE with Nifoptimiser + SSE Creation Kit, just don't post it anywhere. Private sharing is fine.
I may be asking quite a bit from you but is there any chance you can port this to Special Edition and on Xbox? I've been wanting to use this mod for quite a while (it even helped give me the idea for what kind of character I wanted to make).
In case you don't get a reply, I can say that it's not hard to port a mod to Special Edition yourself (at least, armor and item mods don't take much). You just need a NIF optimizer (available on SE Nexus), the Creation Kit, and to move some files around. Simple mods like this typically take a few minutes to get up and running. I haven't tried it with this mod quite yet, but I may do so this weekend if time allows and will report back if anything unusual was required.
As for XBox though, that requires submitting the mod to Bethesda.net via the Creation Kit I believe, so in other words you'd at least need the author's permission to do so. There may be a bit more to it than that as well, but I'm not an XBox user so I'm just sharing what I know. Hopefully, you'll get an official reply.
Does this mod actually require "Spooky Edits - Darker DragonScale Armor (wip)" to run, or is it merely placed in the download menu as sort of a credit?
is it just me or is the armor way too dark? i'm like standing in broad daylight and the armor itself seems like a black hole sucking the light out of the area around it.
Do "help dragonscale" in the console, itll bring up a list anything that has dragonscale in its name. Find it in the list and use the item ID next to it.
Amazing armour! Had this recommended and I have to say, I'm not much of a Dragonscale armour user (I'm a thief, so I go lightweight) but this is really awesome! Definitely using this as an alternative to vanilla
