"Every town and city has its share of rogues. Most of them live up to the worst stereotypes of the class, making a living as burglars, assassins, cutpurses, and con artists. Often, these scoundrels are organized into a thieves’ guild or crime family. Plenty of rogues operate independently, but even they sometimes recruit apprentices to help them in their scams and heists. A few rogues make an honest living as locksmiths, investigators, or exterminators, which can be a dangerous job in a world where dire rats—and wererats—haunt the sewers.
"As adventurers, rogues fall on both sides of the law. Some are hardened criminals who decide to seek their fortune in treasure hoards, while others enter a life of adventure to escape from the law. Others have learned and perfected their skills with the explicit purpose of infiltrating ancient ruins and hidden crypts in search of treasure.
"Rogues devote as much effort to mastering the use of a variety of skills as they do to perfecting their combat abilities, giving them an expertise that few other characters can match. Many rogues focus on stealth and deception, while others refine the skills that help them in a dungeon environment, such as climbing, finding and disarming traps, and opening locks.
"When it comes to combat, rogues prioritize skill over brute strength. A rogue would rather make one precise strike, placing it exactly where the attack will hurt the target most, than wear an opponent down with many smaller strikes. They have an almost supernatural knack for avoiding danger, and a few rogues learn magical tricks to supplement their other abilities."
The backstory is that I wanted light armor for a rogue, that should be a balance of little sexy and tasteful, but also functional, provide added protection, and with less encumbrances. However, it then meant installing several mods to get the ensemble I wanted, and even then it doesn't come in black.
This mod is a mashup of several kits, spent about four nights making some of the textures, adjusting the belt (as it was originally made for CBBE), and extensive play-testing to make sure it works out of the box.
Of course, with a protection rating equivalent to Nightingale armor, the armorset can be crafted easily shortly after the beginning of the game using leather and leather strips, so making Midnight an ideal starter armor not only for rogues, but also for rangers, acrobats, shadowblades and other professions of stealth and agility.
All pieces of the armorset can also be enchanted for additional magical effects.
------------- BTW, thank you for making this otherwise bland weekend a little more brighter.
I like to acknowledge that as a respect to the authors of the original meshes, there is a CBBE version made by Sorceress99 over at LL -- requires this mod and that Bodyslide package there.
FURTHER NOTES REGARDING CBBE: Anyone is FREE to convert this mod to CBBE as long as I am credited along with other authors of mesh resources that are used in this mod, that this mod is intended for free use and NOT for sale or commercial exploitation.
Just send me a message and/or a comment if you do. Thank you.
"[Midnight Light Armor] can be crafted using basic smithing skills even at level 1, [...] Armor protection rating is equivalent to Nightingale Armor. [...] Temperable with ebony smithing."
Where is the 'Unbalanced' Tag? Why didn't I know about this until now? This mod is a must for any Munchkin player!
One variant of the armor has enhanced stats and access to that armor is restricted without first completing one Thieves Guild quest, unlike those that are easily crafted.
Don't worry. Joining Thieves Guild is vanilla option. Destroying them need mod(s). I usually join them anyway.
Edit1: the requirement of unlocking is joining is relatively easy 2 quests involving lockpicking, sneak, light armor (run like a b&@*$ toward Flagon after 1st playthrough), and pickpocket. You could also skip the pickpocket part if you drop back Madesi's Ring.
It's because I imported the meshes as Weight 1 as required in creating the kit, then have the end-user run Bodyslide with the package to choose and generate the meshes for the target body sizes.
As stipulated in the current permissions, you are free to create your own version of the Bodyslide package.
Hey, so I've been looking all over in the description and posts and still can't find an answer. Can you tell me where I can find the "For Karliah" handbook? I'm not very far in the thieves questline, so i'm not sure if it's easy to find or what? Much appreciated.
My only wish is that there were some colored/patterned variants. Otherwise, I absolutely love this armor! It's great for both, thieves and mages alike, and isn't outright skimpy!
Having an issue with the belt and gloves. The belt removes my armour. No matter what it is. And the gloves "crush" my wrists. I think I can fix the gloves in outfit studios but I am lost on the belt.
It's because there's a item slot conflict between your other armor mod and the belt; also happens when you try to wear the belt with the Osare Panties. The only way is to change the item slot values both in the NIF file and the armor addon in TES5edit.
thks for the Reply but i'm afraid I don't know how to navigate through the Body Studio nor do I have the time to learn it really is such a shame will thk anyway for making a truly great outfit P.S whenever I try to find a tutorial video it doesn't work out meaning I can't find them

Also, props to Nie who featured and reviewed the armor on KillingDoll (JP).
Translations with only the plugin, yes, just message me.
But the whole mod... Nope.

Worth it. Endorsed.
Can you fix that, please?
Thanks
