Version 1.1.1 (Aug 26th 2016) uses a new file structure. Please read the "Updating" section and/or "Installation" section for more information.

This is actually a minor change. It just means the main file is for Vanilla only and there is now a second file for including the changes to Dragonborn's "Well-being" potions.

The new structure is BAIN-ready and an NMM installer is included. Other minor changes comprise the inclusion of any USKP fixes for records modified by this mod (does *not* require USKP or USLEEP) and fixed missing sorting names from a couple of items.

Version 1.1.0 had some errors in the dragonborn plugin. Apologies to the 2 people who downloaded it :-( There shouldn't be any serious issues from using it, but if you're one of those people, do get v1.1.1 or later.

Love the idea of this mod, going to try making a bashed patch to see if it'll work with CACO =)

Hi - great idea and a clever improvement. I'd really like to use and endorse your mod, but I'm already using Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul. How does your mod interact with that one?

    Please share your findings.

    Many thanks!

      Hi - Thanks!

I should tell you that I haven't used CACO, so some of what I say here could be wrong, but this answer is based on looking at CACO in TES5Edit.

CACO renames potions, though not in a way that would be equivalent to my mod's sorting system. It also makes other edits to potions. So this aspect would be a case of "who loads last, wins". You could override this by loading my mod first but using Wrye Bash's Bashed Patch feature to import the names. That way you'd see the renamed names from my mod, but keep the other changes from CACO.

CACO doesn't appear to make any changes to the Alchemy Lab, so the combining feature from my mod should work without issue. However, as CACO is a large overhaul with a lot of scripts and some quests, it's possible that the Alchemy Lab is modified in a way that I can't see.

You could ask the author of CACO if there is any conflict with mods that alter the "OnInit" or "OnActivate" events of the Alchemy Lab. If the answer is "no", you're good to go. If the answer is "yes", you should probably not use them both together.

Excellent - thanks for your helpful and reasoned response.

I've never used Wrye Bash or edited the various files that comprise a mod. That's a bit advanced for my current skills, but I'm going to work on learning about such changes.

Any tutorials or getting started instructions you can recommend would be great.

      Many thanks

It's so long since I learned how to use Wrye Bash that I don't know where the best info is now. For starters, check out the Wrye Bash page here on nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1840/? . After that you might want to try the STEP wiki: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Wrye_Bash as it seems to have a good reputation.
