Not yet, but I'll probably change some things and upload it for SE officially soon enough. However, please don't wait until then! This mod is super easy to convert yourself, all you need to do is open my mod up with the SE version of Creation Kit, and save! That's all! Then it will be compatible with SE. Hope that helps
I’m going to try this. I’ve been trying to make my game as realistic as possible for a story I’m writing of it. This is great, though animal hides are actually pretty heavy irl, and so is parchment, but maybe not .5 lol. I might try to double the weights of those from what you have.
Did you change the weight of gold, keys or arrows? It kinda bothers me how much I can carry around.
Whenever I get back into Skyrim/modding, I might revise this mod slightly - you might be right about animal hides needing to be heavier. I'd also convert it to SE.
I didn't change the weights of those 3 because it can be quite a faff to sort them regularly, but I do like how realistic it would be if they weighed something - so that's something I might add as an optional file in the future. I use this overhaul mod for coins, which has an optional file to make each coin weigh 0.01: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48195?tab=files
Please feel free to make any changes you like to my mod for your own personal use - it's quite easy! I can offer you advice on how to do it if you need it.
this should help prevent the long walk of "looters" shame which is a chronic disease that I suffer from frequently.
Edit - getting random CTD's with this mod installed. The only things I'm running that I think might have issues are Jaxsoz's smart looter and Legacy of the Dragonborn. Is there any hope?
All this mod does is change the weight values of items so I'm pretty confident that there's no way it could be causing CTDs. Are you using it on LE or SE? I'm planning on remaking this for SE within the next month or so if that's any help.
All I did was simply 'edit' the weights of items like ingots and saved them even though I did not change the vanilla value, this tricks it into thinking my mod has made that change. So, if you load this mod after Complete Crafting Overhaul or any other mod, the changes in my mod will win/overwrite it
Hey, nice little mod. It's what I needed. Like you, I am fine with weight of armor and weapons, but potions and other things being so heavy was annoying. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this mod! I've been waiting for it for a LONG time. Since the beginning of Skyrim really, I've been using two different mods of this nature: Lightweight Potions and Lightweight Scrolls. They lacked that dynamic quality that looks at other items, apart from just potions and scrolls, where the weight just didn't make sense. At least, not to me. Like, wait, butterfly wings weigh how much?! And a big plus: just one esp. Your mod does exactly what it says with no issues. Definitely endorsed!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your kind words
I was waiting for a mod to 'fix' a wider variety of items too but I never found one I was happy with so I simply decided to do it myself! The new weights seem logical to me and I'm very glad you agree
Could you add armors. maybe from Immersive armors and immersive weaapons ? they weight a ton. heavy armors that weigh 40lb and shit. frustration is real.
I'm sorry but I'm not planning on changing the weights of armors as I've always been happy with them, but it is true they are pretty heavy sometimes! However, I strongly strongly urge you to try this yourself, it really isn't at all difficult it is just a little tedious - don't be afraid of it! If you want to private message me, I would be happy to give you a full explanation on how you can achieve this yourself
