    Sticky
File name changed and added a README to clarify what this file actually is. Read it. There may be boobs. Or not. You won't know unless you read it.

The most important piece of information is this: Use this plugin only as a last resort and only for as long as needed to get past an area that crashes every time you approach it. Disable afterward. Yes, disable the plugin mid-game. Ignore the wailing and gnashing of teeth about that.

Version 1 was specific to the Fort Snowhawk location. Version 2 affects hundreds of locations and now requires Dawnguard and Dragonborn. Read the README (or at least read the new mod description page).

It has been deleted due to an important boss monster encounter problem in the current version of Organizer 2 update.

I've had this issue since forever, I don't like the civil war quest so I never complete it past the Jagged Crown quest.

I run with Crash Fixes, SKSE, USLEEP, got my masters cleaned, bashed and merged patches along with personal fixed meshes to mod added armors and such but I couldn't get rid of this BS ctd without KILLALL command. I've narrowed it to two locations, both related to the CW Main quest.

Kastav Fort outside and Snowhawk Fort right after the Necromancer Boss fight starts. Both locations involve necromancers. While the ctd at Snowhawk is pretty consistent, the ctd at Kastav appears the longer the fight lasts. The necros outside Kastav are quite powerful in my setup with deleveled npcs, ascendant necromancer and otherworldly necromancer along with some skeletons.

After testing armors, staffs and checking for corrupted nifs in meshes with those NCPs, I believe it's ctd related to a reanimation spell, perk or a script related to it. Kastav CTD occurs after killing one of the necros and there's a corpse laying in the boss room in Snowhawk. It's strange that none of this happens in other mage locations like Amol, Illinata's deep (necromancers) or Morvunskar.

I couldn't find your readme file, it only contains an esp file, I'm not a modder neither so this is all speculation.

    Thanks for the fix though

Can you post a load order? I have a theory about what's going on at Snowhawk. I've never had a problem with Kastav, but I get these crashes seemingly at random anyway.

Out of curiosity, how useful are people finding this to be? I've used it in a few dozen situations myself now and haven't noticed any problems I can pin on it.

So, about this. I've never gotten a CTD in this area before but I never really go here unless it is for the war. Does the crash mostly happen during the war or if you go here not during the war?

No, no, no. I'll need to change the description. This is for a very specific issue and I only uploaded it so another mod author could look at what I did. You almost certainly don't need this.

There's an activator object that runs a script when you walk through it and it's been causing me to CTD all over the place. Bethesda uses it roughly 500 times all over Skyrim. It just happened to show itself here and I got aggravated and tracked it down by process of elimination.

So I got a question to see if I'm ok. So I did have the Snowhawk version and instead of enabling that I threw it in as part of my merged patch but so far in my playthrough I have not yet been to Snowhawk inside or out but now that I just read everything, I removed all Snowhawk content out of my patch using TES5Edit but like I said, I have never met those necromancers at the fort and have never been there, so should I still be safe or not?

This was thrown into my merged patch right at the start of my playthrough before character creation and now I just removed. Currently I have put in many hours into my current game but I still ask if what I did by removing the Snowhawk content from the original version out is considered ok. Keep in mind, like I said, I haven't been to Snowhawk yet.

You'll be fine, especially if you'd never been there anyway. What destroys a save file is removing a mod that had quest scripts running in the background and this plugin doesn't do anything like that. At worst, some of the enemy NPCs might not be there, but it shouldn't even do that much.

You definitely don't want to merge it or use it during normal play though. It's only for emergencies where something in the cell is causing a crash that won't let you continue on.

Then I'm glad to know I am safe I think. I may have passed by the fort on the way to Morthal as I always go there first before Ustangrav as it is on the way but if I passed it, I certainly did not approach the fort because if I did, the text on the screen would appear saying I discovered it which should mean my character has never touched the Fort Snowhawk exterior cell and yes I did have this in a patch from start of the game all the way to where I joined Thief's Guild and Dark Brotherhood and right after joining the Dark Brotherhood and purchasing Proudspire Manor, that is when I removed the Fort Snowhawk content out of the patch.

Oh yeah, I did run a test after removing the content and when I did, I did see some skeletons and necromancers guarding the fort. If I saw them, I guess that means their removed content was put back in after all I think.

One thing I would like for you to know. As you know, this mod is a work around if you get to a spot and if it CTDs every time you get into that spot, yes you can use this mod as a last resort but I did read everything else you have said but there is one thing you forgot to add in, and this is what happened to me.

Earlier I did do Kolskagger Mine to clear the Forsworn out and now after putting in so many hours into the game, it was time to do the Thieve's Guild and so I joined and did some jobs. I was also doing the Destruction Ritual Spell and had to find the location for the 3rd phase of the book placement. Every time I tried to pass by the mine, CTD.

I tried doing cell resets by waiting 31 days, using the MCM that Immersive Creatures gives out, everything and still kept getting CTD. Now, instead of resorting to this mod, I had another idea in mind. I went into my house in Markarth and typed in "PCB'(without quotes) in the console and waited 24 hours. After that, I made an attempt to go there again and guess what, no CTD.

You might want to mention pcb in the description.
