27th Oct, 2021 Minor update v1.3 Using ESRGAN, I reduced DXT compression artifacts knowns as blocky noises. Adjusted seam of the back of the head for maleheaddetail_age50.dds. Added 1k version and SE version. For SE: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57537
I'm downloading your mod because that BlankDetailMap.dds Fix from Fair Skin Complexion don't solved my problem, I'm still have neckseam even with this fix from FSC installed.
Thank you thank you thank you! I spent years trying to figure out why my bodies and faces didn't match despite trying every texture mod and every combination of texture mods out there.
These files are not working for me. I must have something else overriding things, I guess. Or it's my ENB that is cancelling out this color tint. I have USLEEP installed, if that matters.
How about put my files directly in your game folder if you use mod manager things? I checked USLEEP but it was not changing any race records(Head parts I mean) and not including textures of facial detailmap, either. So, I don't think USLEEP conflicts my mod, but, since I don't use USLEEP, you can ask Arthmoor about the issue because it tweaks gigantic records.
I love the freckles in SG Renewal, but they have this same problem. Drove me nuts trying to figure out what I did wrong on the face tints, then I saw your mod. I read through the your tutorial but still couldn't figure out your method for correction. What seemed to work for me was simple - desaturate the texture in GIMP. This ensures that there is NO color but a pure grey, simple and effective. Endorsed, now off to work over Stephie's freckles...
I use GIMP too I thought SG Renewal had the same color as Vanilla, which was R:G:B = 63:64:63. So correction method is: 1. Choose "color to alpha" and the color is grey in the texture(63:64:63). https://docs.gimp.org/en/plug-in-colortoalpha.html 2. Make a new layer, paint it all with pure grey(64:64:64), and put it as background. 3. Merge down the transparent freckles texture with the pure grey one you made. 4. save it as uncompressed dds.
I hope it helps.(Sorry my explanation is poor, I use GIMP in Japanese language)
This really works! I did a fresh install on a new computer, and couldn't figure out why my faces/necks were green. Then I remembered this mod which I used on my old setup. I didn't remember that it made such a difference!

Minor update v1.3
Using ESRGAN, I reduced DXT compression artifacts knowns as blocky noises.
Adjusted seam of the back of the head for maleheaddetail_age50.dds.
Added 1k version and SE version.
For SE: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57537
also would it be possible to get a 1k version?
thanks

I can't even tell which is which in-game especially when I use ENB, which makes neck seam color differences bigger.
Nothing can be done about Mallus's face color any more... sorry.

Thank you for this!
