All the required information about Updater, LODs, BillBoard generator and 3d LODS has been moved to README file.
Click on the 3rd button from the right, which is between mod pictures and comments strip, it's literally a huge README button, you can't miss it.
If you are using DynDoLod and updating or reinstalling the mod, you do not need to re-generate DynDoLod. You only need to re-generate DynDoLod if you are changing main tree options.
It's absolutely safe to install updated versions or switch tree mod options mid game
Due to the size of the archive and a huge number of options within it, I suggest you unpack the archive and repack it again with minimum or no compression and then add this new archive as a mod to speed up installation.
Using either the basic trees option or small custom tree option download and install this mod and load it after EVT, so that LODs from SBT are used instead of mine (because they'll have correct size for all SBT resize options). And If you use tree placement that's different from Vanilla (like with Enhanced Landscapes) or you want my LOD models instead of his, you'll need to generate new LODs for a load order with SBT activated, you'll need to use my small billboards and have SBT.esp loaded during LodGen procedure, LodGen will take tree size from sbt.esp and apply it to my small billboards for your tree option and your distant trees will have the correct size taken and applied from sbt.esp.
Small custom trees have slightly more foliage than vanilla, but it's less lush than large versions.
SSE version is not managed by me, all the conversion work was carried out by Scythe42 and TechAngel85 is managing it now, if you have any problems or want to express gratitude with SSE version of this mod, post it on the forum belonging to it, do not post anything related to SSE on this page.
Not sure if I'll get an answer, since this discussion has been quiet for nearly 2 years, but a mesh from this mod seems to be the cause of repeatable crashes in my Skyrim LE install. The mesh is below:

Has anyone else had issues with this particular mesh? It's installed with the billboard generator using the Custom Trees option.
Edit: I ran the above mentioned mesh through the Cathedral Asset Optimizer for Skyrim LE, and it seems to have resolved my crashing issues.
When I installed, for some reason all the leaf textures look super crazy low res. I'm using LE New Look ENB but all my other modded textures (grass, rugs, etc.) turn up fine
Can you make a version of this mod without the Vurt's Snow Pine Retexture requirement? Those over saturated green pines from that mod are hideous, not really my taste
If you want just the snowy pines from SFO this mod includes them as an option in the installer. SFO adds much more than just snowy pines, and it is all incompatible with EVT
I'm having trouble with load billboards. Some of the tree billboards are slightly hovering above the ground before I get close to them. I downloaded the billboard generator and used dyndolod. Most of the trees look good but some are just slightly floating above the ground.
Any suggestions on what I did wrong?
Is it possible that the billboards don't exactly match up with my landscape texture mods? Because most of the trees look good but some tree billboards are hovering a little and don't quite match up with the landscape. It's not terrible but still noticeable.
Looks great, love it but using the basic version there's a certain small pine tree that floats like a full foot off the ground whenever placed on a slope. Especially noticeable going down the main road from Ivarstead, there are dozens of them all floating like netches. Is there anything to be done about that? Do I simply use a different version of this mod?
I have this strange issue where some trees won't load their foliage. Using Disable/enable won't reset them and load them properly. It happens at random, and only affects the pines (dead and snow pines load properly, as far as i could check in Morthal and along the coast). Am i missing some mod or fix? I checked with xEdit, and nothing is conflicting with EVT plugin entries.

If you are new to modding, to avoid weird issues please use this mod to set your .ini settings for you

If you are generating 3d LODs with Enhanced Landscapes together with EVT, this is the load order you should use to have my trees enabled.
DynDoLod version 2.18+ is required.
