Wait..is that why my maxed sneaky lizard doesn't have as much success as my sneaky other characters? She has a partner and he doesn't shut up. HOLY CRAPCAKES BATMAN. I learn somethin' new about skyrim every day.
Lol yes I am certain now since finding out someone purposely made there instant merchant mod that I use open the shop menu right up to avoid dialogue Bethesda went a bit to far with realness and yes indeed talking originally alerts enemies, from far away even.
Enemies also seemed like they had super hearing powers also they always knew when an arrow was shot this seems to change that also and allows you to get pretty close even without muffled movement but I think mm is still viable since they catch me if I get to close makes dagger ten times more viable imo
Not as loud as a gun going off lol like vanillas reaction to even shooting an arrow there's so many variables to if an archer is loud depending on there training and where they hit the loudest thing about a bow is the death sound to be honest with all weapons in fact which is crazy who can go "gagh" when there throat is slit and alert everyone?.
This mod has good and bad parts however like if your spotted it's not how loud the NPC screams it's how loud his foot movement is that alerts other enemies to him at least I can suppose lol
Needed this for one of my mods but also having a dog and making noise aren't two good combinations I'm not sure about the companion thing but didn't have a dog on me at the time but yes background noise besides sneak stepping like talking for no reason would set off the NPC alarm
