I want to take this time to thank everyone who gives this mod a try. I still have to update the credits a bit but for now I want to sleep. This is the first time I set a mod up with an installer by the way which is simple to many I am sure, but for me, I am very much learning so hopefully it works.
Anyway, to those who end up using this mod, I am curious... should you decide to keep it (and if you want) could you please tell post which version you went with and if you went with the new spells, tell me if you decided to enhance them or not with the jewelry?
Yeah thanks you fixed at least chain lightning. With a normal chain lightning you should not even have to aim normally, there is a story about that with Kelsey, a custom npc for baldur's gate 2, he is with a caravan attacked by bandits, he rushes to the magic scrolls and just read one without even noticing what it is, it was a chain lightning : complete victory without even aiming ! Well you couldn't fix the aiming problem here, but at least fixing the damage to allies is great, damaging allies made the spell almost completely useless. I just installed it so I hadn't time to check the jewelry, and I used the replacer version of course.
For the fireball it's another story, a normal fireball is a zone spell, this time it's normal to harm allies with a fireball, but I never use this spell anyway (because it's quite rare to find enemies packed in a same place suitable for a fireball and for a single target there are better spells).
So thank you for contributing to fixing skyrim magic !
Hopefully this will save my buns from getting singed while using "Teach Followers Spells." I have that and FastCast installed, and man oh man is Sofia dangerous to be around...
Yeah, seriously this will probably save my life a lot.
I am glad you enjoyed the description. It means your humor is as bad as mine and that makes me feel great. I truly hope you enjoy the mod and I thank you for stopping by to leave a comment.
Hi, I use AFT for my followers and it allows me to teach my followers new spells that I have equipped. I tried teaching them the new spells from this mod but they ignore the new spell and won't learn it. Is it possible to make the teaching of your spells to followers? Does your mod affect how vanilla spells do damage to friendlies? I like followers that are Spellswords so I can have ranged and melee combat from my followers.
I'm not sure how that other mod you mention works, as in I'm not sure how it decides what the follower is allowed to learn. It's been awhile since I've looked at this mod, but one version should simply change the vanilla versions of the spell. As far as the other versions, they are essentially vanilla spells they just don't hurt people you don't want to hurt.
Sorry I couldn't be much help in this situation but I do thank you for trying to use this mod.
Hey it's ok, it was a message that came up from AFT when I tried to teach the focused spells. I don't have a problem about it, I was just bringing it to your attention so if it was something that had been brought to you as a problem that you might look into it. I just enabled AFT no friendly fire file for the time being. Thanks for responding and sorry I couldn't make you mod work.
While the various ice cream pics did do wonders in clarifying things for me I AM trying to lose weight.
***hole.
Seriously though... Thanks for this. Kinda hard to be a battle-mage in an enclosed environment unless you're just there to watch the fight. :/
After using this a bit I am wondering if it'd be possible to eliminate all the various "Look, Stop That!" barks that occur when taking advantage of this mod.
Save all that for when you're actually taking damage, yeah?
I know this is a late reply but thanks for this post and maybe, but I'm not sure how to do it nor do I really want to. I mean, I get where you're coming from but I also see it as making sense that they would still say something even if they are not being hurt because if someone shot a magic bolt at me, even if it wasn't hurting, I'm going to ask them to stop haha.
This is dream come true for me, but can I make a small request, can you make the focused chain spells into concentration and increase their range to almost infinite please .
Thank you for stopping by and giving this mod a try. As far as your request, I should/might be able to do what you're asking. We'll see. It may not be exactly as you ask but if I do this it should be close enough to your liking.
You're not a novice smith you're THE ARCH-SMITH of Nirn, thank you for actually implementing my request to your already legendary mod and thank you for taking the time to create it .

No real reason but I figured why not ask.

And remember, Say NO to singed buns, people!
Now I need to go read the descriptions & sticky posts the mod author has on-site. :)
