I will not update this mod in any way, shape, or form. You have my explicit permission to edit it, redistribute it (whether to the Nexus or some other mod hosting site), and/or convert it to Skyrim: Special Edition. As long as you credit me where necessary and don't make money off of it, you're golden. You don't even need to ask for my permission; you have it. Go nuts.

Additionally, any mods I make in the future will be available for Skyrim: Special Edition only. In fact, I'm considering making an SSE mod that will make this mod obsolete.

    That's all. Thank you.

You should do a spell that turns living things into...other living things, like kids to rabbits and giant spiders into elk or something. Of course make it a master spell, huge cost, hard to attain, the works.

how about a transmute spell like the one the game dungeon siege has which turns items into gold maybe by turning them into the amount of gold that it is said to be sold for or valued at? would work on items, potions, armor, weapons and ingredients and rings and necklaces.

Such a thing already exists in the vanilla game. I believe it's referred to as a "merchant".

This kind of spell would be useful for selling items that are just to valuable to sell to merchants.

Hmm, true. Still, sounds like a lot of scripting work - I'd have to devise a way to determine *which* item from the player's inventory to turn to gold, as well as an algorithm for how much.

What if the spell was a projectile and you shot it at a physical item that's been placed on the ground?

I suggest you make it a base 50% of the gold and + 0.5% per level in alteration, and make it so the item has to be worth at least 1000 gold for the spell to do anything.

Your requests have been answered! (Well, Mummified's have, at any rate. Still getting to the others!)

Version 0.2 features two new spells called Superheat Item and Quicken Silver - this low-level magic is essential for a smith-on-the-go with even the slightest bit of proficiency in Alteration.

(That said, the Superheat Item spell's script calls roughly thirty references and is more than one hundred lines long! Good news is that it mimics the vanilla smelting recipes perfectly, so as long as you've got the magicka for it, you probably won't need to visit a smelter ever again once you've got it!)

Keep the requests coming! There are some good ideas here.

You could add a spell that would go along with the Transmute Mineral Ore spell, allowing you to transmute one ore into it's appropriate ingot. So you would be getting a full ingot for only one ore but with a very high magica cost.

Like a Superheat Item spell, basically? It should make its way into the next release.

You could also add a silver to quicksilver spell.

The bandits (if you sneak up to them and listen) often talk about turning wood into gold... might be interesting if it were actually in the game.
Especially if you could get rid of a lot of unnecessary clutter.

      And thanks, Revylrie.

"Future versions will feature additional spells dedicated to turning items into other items (based partially on user feedback, so do leave suggestions in the comments)"

I kinda made a modrequest on the mod where you got the idea for this mod, but no response, so I'm gonna place the same request here then:

I want a spell that transmutes stuff you can find in dungeons or worthless stuff you find in chests or barrels like wooden plates, or tankards. to food and drinks. Like transmute tankards to mead or something and wooden bowls to soup.

that would be great for mods that adds needs systems.

That wouldnt be transmutation, that would be conjuration.

Transmuting is turning something into something else. If you turn a tankard into mead. it will just spill everywhere on the floor cause the container to hold you, you just turned into mead. Same with bowls to soup.

Yesss I saw the comments on evilreflex's transmute mod and thought it was a great idea. I'm so glad you did this. I'm totally pumped! Now I can start transmuting all those 200+ iron ores into something useful! I totally agree with Mummified's idea too. I look forward to seeing any other spells that are added

Kinda helps that spells, magic effects, and scripts are right up my alley, especially when it comes to Alteration.
