Simple Potions redirects to new meshes and textures, it doesn't replace vanilla. You may be thinking of Better Potions, on which its based. Without a patch you will either have the new looking Potions with vanilla stats, or same requiem stats but no new looking potions, depending which is loaded last.
Another mod for the modlist! Neat stuff, but I would or maybe would not appreciate a default potion weight version. Then again, given Requiem's rebalance to carry weight, maybe this is for the better.
Sure can do one of those if wanted, though I think with the new models weights should be small to reflect the change. Handy for Requiem's low carryweights
The only issue with light potions is that they would also need to be less potent, because there's less potion juice inside the vials. Either way if it's a big deal you don't need to, I can always just fire up TES5Edit and do it on my own.
Depends whether its about the quantity or potency of the potion/poison. In any case, using Automation Tools Quickchange Copy script and you can do it in 10 seconds: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49373/?

I thought that simple potions only replaced meshes and textures
thus not requiring a patch
how am I wrong?
Welp that could been handled more efficiently
thanks man for 'splaining.
kind regards
Just rename 'meshes/sync' to 'meshes/clutter' and don't change the textures, and it'll work. You'll have different bottles, though.
