only need to choose 1 main file

red eye version for supernatural creatures is up, will need some colour tweaking

i'll put up a third version after some tweaking where all 3 have the same regular night eye

This doesn't work for me, it's always active. I don't understand why, the only mod who potentially causes problem with this one is Imperious race. I've tryed two version : the file without vampire/werewolf and the old file. Gonna try the last one...

Edit: this one also doesn't work, even when i disable some other who may causes issues.

So apparently it will activate nighteye anytime a random khajiit spawns into the world, even if the player is a nord... nd the same thing with the red version whenever a werewolf or vamp spawns...

That's because the Night Eye Magic Effect and by extension, script applies an imagespace adapter. Imagespace adapters only affect the player because surprise surprise... Skyrim was never meant to be multiplayer.

But... adding a condition to either the spell or MGEF so that it activates only if the actor under the effect of the Night Eye MGEF is the PlayerRef will fix that.

Easy enough to do. Might just do that myself.

I don't have the tools to mod at this time; if you fix it by adding such a condition, I'd upload it and certainly give you credit

I was able to get this mod to work on a brand new Khajiit, but it took a few minutes for it to activate. I thought it wasn't activating because it was daytime, despite it being quite dark where I was (I was inside the prison you start in using alternate start). After waiting to nighttime, it activated after a minute. However, as I walked around a bit inside the cell, it turned off again, and never turned on, even though the lighting did not change. I tried this again on an existing character, an Argonian whom I used console commands to add the night eye spell and it was not activating at all, not during night or when inside dark dungeons or caves. I thought this was because I already had night eye in my favorites so I got rid of that, and removed the spell entirely using the console commands. Night eye did not auto activate. I then tried to re-add the spell back to my spellbook but it wasn't working. The mod was preventing it from being added despite using the console commands. Perhaps the mod only works (although poorly) for the races that naturally start with night eye, and as a side-note probably does not work for any mod that adds an entirely new night eye spell.

it has conditions so that it only works for khajit, but that doesn't explain the issues you had initially

if i have a chance to come back to it, i will look at this again, apologies for the frustration

and yes, new night eyes added will not be affected

As other people have been saying the mod keeps enabling on its own. Every time I try to uninstall it leaves Night Eye on and blurs around the edge of the screen. I tried loading from a new save, I tried sleeping, tried changing into a werewolf and back. At this point I have no other ideas to get this mod uninstalled and back to normal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

UPDATE: I managed to get back to the normal vision. it took me two days to figure out how to do it. I had to reinstall Skyrim, then change my race with the chick in the Ragged Flaggon, save and exit, reload, use the Night Eye power, deactivate the power, and then change my race back to my original character. I also had to basically create a vanilla save from my original and then reload all the mods back in. Its definitely an interesting mod but not the one for me.

you know what, i had the same issue myself with a nord (even though there is a check to make sure the character is khajit)

i couldn't pinpoint the problem either, i wonder if it had some conflict with frostfall
i'll look into it more now that i know it wasn't just me

I'll post my mod list and maybe you can see if there is any connection...

Looks great, Id like to know if its compatible with predator vision, Better Vampire Fangs and Eyes, Dynamic Vampire Appearance, and Better Vampires.

i don't foresee a problem with DVA or better vampires, but it would need to be tested with predator vision to find out

Does this also allow werewolves to have night vision while in 'Human' form?

Does this mod cause a bug that makes your vision occasionally blur for just a second? I installed the No Blur version so I really don't know what to expect from it.

it uses more or less the same intro/outro fx for night eye from vanilla
it shouldnt be blurry once it accommodates to the darkness

First of all, amazing mod, don't know why no one thought of this sooner (or Bethesda). Anyway, as a few others have mentioned is there any chance of having an option to remove blur? Because just as it makes sense for night-eye to be automatic, it never made sense for me to have it blurry. Animals that have night vision simply take in more light and see things in the dark through a sort of filter, its not like it cause a blurring effect. It really breaks the immersion for me, and while I love playing beast races, the way night-eye looks by default in this game was a big turn-off (Oblivion looked weird being so bright blue but at least it was clear). Just wondering if this option would appear in the future. I intend to use this mod either way, but being able to remove blur would make it essential for me and a lot of my friends. Thanks for your time ^_^.

apologies, the blur was removed in the vampire optional version but i wanted to tweak the colours before i more or less finalized the version for both
