This mod is available for both versions of Skyrim. You are currently commenting on the Legendary version of the mod.
The text in the mod description that says "[Skyrim Special Edition File]" does not mean that this is the Skyrim Special version; rather, it is a hyperlink to the Skyrim Special version, so that people who play that game can find the mod more easily.
heh, you made it work for every vampire. I wanted to do that too but I decided to make mine more compatible and so I used a script that gives the player an hidden spell so it applies only on him.
p.s. can I link my mod in the comments on your mod's page for skyrim SE? since they may appeal to different tastes >_>
p.p.s. I'm so kicking myself for not giving my mod the name you gave to yours. i think the main reason of why it had so few downloads (it's been out for 3 years) is because it must be very difficult to find randomly, with the name it has.
Yours applies varying regen rates on top of the penalties, whereas mine just prevents the regen penalty in the first place. Different approaches and all that.
The global allows people to change the value via console if they need to. It also allows me to change the value just once, so if I need to edit it, there's less chance that I'll make a mistake.
Thanks, this was something that I was actually looking forward to and couldn't understand why the vanilla game didn't have this.
I always felt like after a fight if I was weak and couldn't regen my health, it would of been nice to find a really dark corner in the shadow and watch my health slowly recover.
Maybe you should cut the regen by half? Just a suggestion. Could always make two versions. One with and without.
Edit: hmmm actually using better vampires, not sure how that could work, unless patched.
Interesting. I'm never going to play a vampire again though after I found out that my character's soul will go to Molag Bal. -.- lol But I want to know what conditions you used for this.
I once tried using the GetLightLevel condition for a constant Candlelight enchantment (so that it will only turn on when it's dark enough) but light levels are too dynamic to be reliable. :3
Yeah, vampires are really bloody unfortunate, lorewise.
GetLightLevel is what I used, with a threshold of 60. In tests (you can run the command on actors via the console), I found that to be a good threshold for typical daytime conditions in Whiterun.
So GetLightLevel </= 60? Well, I guess that works well enough for what you need it for. Wouldn't work well with Candlelight as when the light level fluctuates, it would keep turning on and off. lol Oh well. (I tried the UseMagic Procedure + GetLightLevel as a solution, but then the package kept interrupting another important package. :3 I probably just got too frustrated to keep trying to get it to work as intended; so I just gave them torches and put an IsTorchOut condition on the Candlelight, except now the double lighting is just redundant. xD)
Would it be possible to make a variant where vampires actually take damage in the sun, please? I much prefer the pre-Dawnguard system where you were actually punished for being in the sunlight. It never made sense to me why Harkon "fears the sun", considering he can stand outside all day without complaint. Just an idea: I think it would go well with your mod, forcing vampire players to find shade for more reasons than just regeneration. Players would have to take into account Serana's condition, rather than blithely keep her around in the sunlight for weeks on end.

I'll remove it with TES5Edit and release an update. Thanks for letting me know about this.
Thank you for the mod, either way!
This is incompatible with, say, Vampire Upgrade? VU is a relatively small overhaul of vampirism, but an overhaul none the less...
