Thank you for your consideration and happy modding!
Steveowashere, have you considered making a variant with one of the posts removed? I'm looking to avoid overlap when making a longer fence. Not a big deal since I haven't noticed any texture flicker with the overlapping textures.
For anyone who runs into this issue; The first time I added this resource I ended up with a big ! instead of the fence and a texture error in the details. I restarted the CK, tried again, and the second attempt worked without error. So; if you have an issue, restart the CK and try again.
That would be pretty easy to do. If you're handy with NifSkope you can open said mesh and find the piece you want by clicking on the 'NiTriShape' nodes and right click to delete the one(s) you don't want.
Is it Possible to tone down the brightness and spec on these? They reflect light very badly with texture change havnt tried them with original texture though. But i can send you pic of what i mean if you like.
It might be helpful to send a picture. You might be missing your normal for WoodPost02. This mod doesn't include any textures and the specular settings on the meshes are what they should be.
Have added screenshot to your page. If you notice all the timber in that screenshot uses same texture and normal map, but the fence is very bright compared to anything else. I tried changing a few things in nifskope it made no difference and when i changed the spec settings ck started crashing because of fence 02, i also tried making the normal dds darker still looked the same
I assume you mean the fence in the foreground? The one made of all the little sticks? That isn't mine, that doesn't come from my mod. (Look, at the screenshots, it's not there) By looks, I think it's the fence from Fences of Skyrim to me.
I think Fences of Skyrim has the option to use its own texture, so if you've installed the meshes for that you might want to check that all texture's are present.
Glad you're enjoying them! If you like these, maybe you might also try my 'Spice of Life - Fences' mod, which takes all fences from this mod and distributes them throughout Skyrim. Just a thought
I may eventually get around to it, It would only take the better part of a weekend. But i've got some school things to take care of before that happens.
I also hope some modder can use them in their mods. House mods for example or the new Holds mod could take advantage of them
i'd love a mod to place them around too. i went looking through my 100+ gb skyrim folder thinking there had to be some fence meshes i could replace with these. but nope. everything uses the same 2 nifs. well, i haven't checked every folder but looks like even the older ETAC i use (ver10) doesn't have any added fences
I also shared in your frustration, that's why I made so many variations.
I'm working a mod series that will bring variety to many things in Skyrim. I'll start with clutter at first and then work my way to forts dungeons, and ruins. So stay tuned for that.
