Would this gather enough interest I am willing to make a set for human races. for any questions feel free to post below. I greatly appreciate your feedback.

Remember you can suggest some eye-colours to be added in the future. (:

As usual remember that I love seeing your screenshots, go ahead and add them as I couldn't possibly take a screen for every eye colour. (:

If you want to know more about how I made the characters, just look through the comments, I've mentioned which mods I used a couple of times.

    ----

Update 1.0b: Added Replacer Version as requested. (:
Update 1.1a: Added three variants to the standalone pack.

would absolutely love an official port over to special edition....the amount of good eye mods is sorely lacking. this and human eyes...the amount of variety is astounding and such high quality too.

They're just textures, go ahead and use them in SSE.  If you're leery you can always install Cathedral Assets Optimizer and run the mod through it, but that's really more for meshes.

i already do that. I just hope eventually she will port it over herself or let someone else port it for her. some are too lazy to do that or don't know how even though its easy peasy. there are also others who have never seen her mods before which is a shame. its a beautiful little gem and best eye mods on the nexus imo.

For those that are lazy, their lose, but to those who just have SSE and never played LE may never even see this mod. @flamingsora I feel you on that point.

Great mod, it would be superb if we could have characters from your pictures as presets or as save game format. I would love to play as one ^^

There are many reasons, I'll name a few.

      - The Skin textures I use are a combination of many assets I came across during a few years on the Nexus. While it's fine for me to use them for personal stuff, To release them to the public I'd require the permission of people that are not active on the site anymore.
      - Same goes for many of the overlays
      - All my character use a custom High-Poli body made by a friend of mine, who didn't intend for it to be released and is incompatible with basically anything I don't adapt to them.
      - Some of the brows and lip overlays I use are made from authors that do not want their work shared on the Nexus.
      - Lastly, that would provide access to my head meshes, which would make it easy to just slightly change said mesh and release the same character as a follower and such, leaving me with no way to prove that said work was stolen. (this has happened in the past with other modders)

I feel like people really need to stop worrying about their stuff being "stolen". Anyone could take your screenshot and post it somewhere else, saying it was theirs as well ):

I'm an artist myself, and I know a lot of people who are scared to post their art online because of it being stolen, which is great, but really a horrible way to get well-known and become successful.

alsooo, what would be wrong with someone taking the head-mesh and using it in a follower mod? Is there something wrong with making something public for the greater good? It's like discovering how to heal cancer, and then keeping it for yourself because you're scared that someones going to claim the idea as their own ):

Obviously it's not your choice, but the people who create these things, who are are too scared to help out the community are being silly. They'd end up being 100x more popular if they released their content.
Like especially a mod that lets you create characters that look like the blonde elf there, you could easily end up in the top 100 mods of all time here. Maybe even top 50 or top 10. If they are scared of being popular, they could release it on a new account or something...

Oh boy, this is gonna be a long post.

Alright, I'm gonna quote this step by step, this way it should be simpler to get on the same page.

      Let's start from the beginning.

In your first sentence you mention how you know a lot of people who are afraid that their art may get stolen, but at the same time you're implying that being scared of having your work stolen is a bad thing. And it's not, this fear comes from the fact that artists consider their work to be precious, very precious in fact. This is because when an artist creates something said person often invests a great deal of thought and often an even greater deal of time in their work.
For people like me this time is worth very, very much, as I don't have much time to invest in my passions as it is. Keep in mind there are many things in life you can have access to through success, but time is not one of them. This, not to mention the emotional attachment many artists have to their work.

While I share basically everything I make except my characters, I can perfectly understand why those artist you mentioned would prefer keeping their work to themselves rather than seeing it stolen, all that time and though, it's a bit like putting your soul into it. (:

alsooo, what would be wrong with someone taking the head-mesh and using it in a follower mod? Is there something wrong with making something public for the greater good? It's like discovering how to heal cancer, and then keeping it for yourself because you're scared that someones going to claim the idea as their own ):

What would be wrong with it is they would take several hours of my work, my thoughts and my creativity and put their name on the final product and get the recognition for it.
What the would happen is some of my followers would recognize my work and point it out to the modder who re-released it, whose follower base would then try to deny it to my own, and this would only contribute to divide the community as different people would choose the side of the modder they like the most.

Many people tend to ignore that Intellectual property is in many industries considered to be far more valuable than material property, which is why there is such a thing as copyright laws that protect creators and artists.

Let's also tackle the "it would help the community" issue.

To put it bluntly, well, it wouldn't.
If anything it would hinder people's creativity, for those who want to have characters similar to mine there would no longer be a reason to work on their character and learn how to achieve similar results if they could simply download mine. And they'd end up having a slightly different version of my characters, not their own.

As I've also mentioned many times now, my character skin/bodies contain work of modders who do not want their work to be shared to the public. I don't know why a lot of people ignore this point.

This is why I'm completely open to helping people achieve similar results, I like seeing people work towards their goals, I like seeing them making progress and I like seeing them happy with what they created.

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man how to fish...

But say I share them as standalone followers, I can't give them a custom dialogues, since I can't voice act for them, I can't give them custom bodies since that would create incompatibilities, I can't do anything to give them any form of personality, or to give some insight to what is their story, what they like and what they hate.
What you would have would be a prettier vanilla follower.
If that's what someone is looking for there are plenty of pretty followers on the Nexus, and some of them are far prettier than my characters, so there's no need for me to add to that.

You see, if someone has worked hard on something, that someone will treasure their creation. This is why people are so attached to their characters, they're not only fond to their looks, they're attached to the hours of work they put into designing every aspect of them, from the aesthetics to their background stories. It's because they created every aspect of it, in a certain way you could say it's their "baby" (:

But that's not the end of it, you see, once you release something on the internet, that something it's out for the world to use however they please. Say I release one of my characters as a follower and the day after, that character who I designed to be kind, shy and delicate is on someone's bestiality porn blog. Would I be able to do anything about it? The answer is no, I wouldn't.
Now, I'm not saying this would be the case, and that it would be the majority of people doing something like that, but I'm not taking the chance. (and trust me, I have received many messages on my blog asking me for sexual depictions of my characters).

I'm going to ignore the comparison between a character preset and the cure for cancer, because that's frankly an absurd comparison, the impact those two things would have is massively different.

Like especially a mod that lets you create characters that look like the blonde elf there, you could easily end up in the top 100 mods of all time here. Maybe even top 50 or top 10. If they are scared of being popular, they could release it on a new account or something...

      We already do, it's RaceMenu. It only requires some practice. (;

And yes, I'm aware that practice requires time, but if you want to learn how to do something, you're going to have to invest some time into it.

While I do respect your point of view, you need to be very careful not to apply it to everyone, different people think differently!

      Hope you understand. (:

EDIT: Grammar, apparently I'm still an ignorant Italian even when I try very hard to type correctly.

@Lind001 I understand that you do not want to upload your presets and that some of the resources used may not be available for upload due to your friend's preferences. Would you mind linking the ones that are available? I just need some new resources to use in RaceMenu, which is how I found your Elven eyes and I would like to get some better looking textures and meshes.

Thanks in advance for your help, and the Elven eyes ^_^

      Amen to that.
Your characters are beautiful, but using them as an inspiration of what can be achieved with hard work and time spent learning is better than having them handed to us on a silver platter.
It has been an absolute joy for me to create my own characters and I've been able to create many different ones I never thought I'd be good enough at modding to make... All because yours showed me what was possible if I only tried.
Thank you so much for the eyes (they are gorgeous and I love to mix and match them with different races for different effects).
While I'd love to play with the head mesh you have, I'll figure out a way to do it on my own ;)
Next up: Ears! I'm learning to curve them and get cute floppy looking ears like your character's :)
Fingers crossed for me, and thank you so much for sharing your eyes with us <3

It is just plain selfish self-interest to not share any creations. Yes you can do that but it is still selfish.
The Wright brothers did the same thing with the first plane to fly.
Locked it up in a barn so nobody would copy the design.
They ended up doing nothing more because of FEAR. Same to your friends who want to Horde their creations.
      Once again plain selfish-ness.
Hoping you will feel guility and release the art so everybody can enjoy???
Realize some people do not want to be creative and have patience to do something over and over again??

Not just the eyes are great, those female toons are really the best.
How about some of those as presets or followers?
    Great work of art.

Okay so, How exactly did you go about making the characters in the screenshots? I read that you made them with Racemenu but thats not really helpful. I've been trying for AGES to get something similar but to no avail and it's driving me crazy man! how do you do it?!?! is there like a video or something?!?!
