My textures were almost complete. I followed a mod guide in full, and yet the braziers and metalwork in Windhelm remained yellowy and dull. This solved that issue and I hope others are able to find it too. Thanks pal for your good work!
Cubemap/Environment maps added. It's my first time doing these, so let me know if you see anything wrong. I used screenshots of the actual area for the cubemap, so it's a lore friendly cubemap lol.
I was concerned with it becoming too shiny, even though it's metal, cause it's Windhelm, and it's supposed it be old and shitty...
I'm not sure where all the metalwork is in Windhelm, but I found whgate3.nif had the metalwork so I edited it to have the cubemap. Not sure if I did it correctly though, so please do test it first. If it is corrct you can just copy the settings to any other meshes.
I added cubemaps/environmentmaps to all valunstrad meshes, but as it is a flat 2d Object it's not that cool. Without geometry you only get a bright side and a darker side. Would be kinda cool if it would be correct with the sunlight, but it isn't. You can imagine it more like an additional specular effect. Sadly not worth the vram
