I have tried both using NMM and replace all texture and meshes in Skyrim manually. But i still can't see any changes within The City of Witherun (I looked at Witherun ,and i noticed there is no change at all). I have SKSE Installed with ENBboost ,and i have set them just like the tutorial. Can somebody help me? (Sorry for bad languange ,and i wrote this 5 in the morning)
I know I'm replying to an ancient post, but anyway: The changes applied to Whiterun cell are small: only the "guard towers" are modified. When outside of Whiterun, try looking up. You'll see a couple of towers. However, when you're INSIDE the city, these towers look broken, run-down, and not complete. The inside doesn't match the outside. The changes to WR fixes that, so that the watch/guard towers (which are now accessible) appear fully constructed and not half-broken when inside the city.
I can uninstall my other hold mods if I absolutely must, but there is one significant question I have: is this compatible with Guards Armor Replacer? it's the mod that gives the hold guards and Stormcloaks unique armors in every hold. I ask because the fact that it calls for its own cloak mod is kind of bothering (redundant, since I already have Cloaks of Skyrim, but I can be flexible if there's assets that are ABSOLUTELY necessary), especially regarding any potential conflicts with GAR.
I hope it is clear enough. I will keep this as updated as possible. Critics, comments and recommendations are always welcome. Enjoy!

Download SKSE installer and run the ".exe" to install. (last version: v1.7.3) When the installation is done, open your Data folder and find "/.../Skyrim/Data/SKSE/". There you will find a "skse.ini" file. If the file is not there, just create it: Right click in your "/.../Skyrim/Data/SKSE/" folder. Create a new ".txt" document called "SKSE.ini". Click "File/Save As" and save choose "All files" instead of ".txt". It should create a ".ini" configuration file. Add this lines to that file:
- Extract 1 and copy "/.../enbseries_skyrim_v0305.zip/WrapperVersion/" content into "/.../Skyrim/".
- Extract 2 and copy/replace "/.../ENBoost 6_1-73618-6-1.zip/LessStuttering/" content into "/.../Skyrim/".

Try deleting the "Trees" folder inside Data/Meshes/Landscape. The old assets accidentally included a few SFO trees which is causing the issue. And Nexus refuse to update to the new version properly even after re-uploading the files.

Hey, I was wondering about one thing. I am running Windows 10, and apparently I have DirectX 12. Which of the two Vram programs should I use? If you are running Windows 10 you can run DX12 apps, but this doesn't mean that all apps will use DX12, some will use DX11, others will use DX9, etc. So Skyrim basically only supports DX11, so run that ".exe" With a 980ti you don't need the maximum amount of memory, if you set the number 20.000-30.000 should be more than necessary. It depends also on your machine hardware, so you can try and set a higher level.

Hey there! Welcome to the windows 10 club! Great operating system! Annoying one for bloated Skyrim mod load orders! You should run the DX 9 version of the VRAM tool since THAT is the version that is meant for Skyrim. I believe the other memory tool is for other games that ENB can also be applied to. I honestly don't believe that Skyrim makes use of DX11's Tesselation, Multi-threaded Rendering or the various other tools DX11 offers. Back during Skyrim's release Bethesda wanted the game to run similarly on all of its platforms and, since PS3 and the XB360 are capped at DX9, Bethesda chose to design the game around DX9's features. Bummer.
So what does that mean for you and me as Windows 10 users since the game is a DX9 user? Well, Microsoft has unfortunately locked all DX9 games to only be able to use 4Gs of memory (hence, why you are seeing the 4024MB as usable memory in the memory tool). You're just going to have to be conscious of how much memory your mods are forcing the game to consume. I know... that sucks to be locked into a rationed memory amount, given that you probably have way more than that allowance, just like I do, but being conscious of your memory limitations is technically good practice even if that limitation wasn't there since it would allow you to have a much more stable game. Things that I did to manage it was to switch from 4k textures to 2k. And if they were textures for the ground or distant features that I'd never really walk up to, I'd lower them to 1k since graphical textures use up a sizeable portion of memory that could be used for other mods that added gameplay, scripts, etc. etc...
Note: Microsoft did not tecnically limit the amount of usable memory used by DX9 games on Windows 10 on purpose... it kind of happened as a consequence of something else that I can't honestly remember at the top of my head at the moment. But yeah... It might be because the game is 32bit, but nowadays most of us are running it on a 64bit architecture, but yeah... I'm rambling. At this stage the reason is... I dunno.
I know I coulda just told you which tool to use and done... but I kind of wanted to explain why. So...
TLR If you have Windows 10 then enblocal.ini's VideoMemorySizeMb=4064 even if ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true

FIRST STEPS - SKSE and ENBoost
"Holds" is a very big mod, that needs a lot of resources from your machine, so you might want to boost it a little so you can run the mod smoother.
I -SKSE- Very useful tool that extend the world of Skyrim to the maximum. Without it, 90% of the mods wouldn't exist.
Download SKSE installer and run the ".exe" to install. (last version: v1.7.3)
When the installation is done, open your Data folder and find "/.../Skyrim/Data/SKSE/".
There you will find a "skse.ini" file.

Add this lines to that file:
You can also check the S.T.E.P guide How to instal and setup SKSE
II -ENBOOST- Basically it boost your Skyrim allocated memory. This is used also for ENB graphics, but that's just one of the things it does.
Download:
1-- ENBoost (last version: v0.305)
2-- Crash Fix ENBoost, and
3-- VRamSizeTest
- Extract 1 and copy "/.../enbseries_skyrim_v0305.zip/WrapperVersion/" content into "/.../Skyrim/".

So...
