Don't know how I've missed this mod so far. Adds just enough green to vanilla Reach to make it look like something other than completely dead. Thanks for sharing it!
if you put my plugins for Reach Tree replacer or ELOS after SFO it should work just fine as I use custom named meshes. I also use SFO and it all seems to work fine. What's your flora setup?
I am an idiot, so when you say setup, I presume you mean wich and what I use? im gonna guess that, hehe... if that is the case, I use the newest 2.5b version, + large juniper trees and SFO on steroids. I dont use any LOD atm, cause me and the LOD-setup had a huge argument, and LOD won, so I threw in the towel. (I have tweaked my ini`s so hard anyway that I can basically see just as far without). That what you ment?
here's an idea is there a way to make this mod work as a seasonal thing? from winter to summer and spring to fall, amounts and colors of leaves etc I sortta like the standard fare when it comes to the swamps BUT can get on board with this doing what it does as I know many will jump on this, but is it possible to do what I would like seen done or is it too "out there" and it could apply to any and all types of flora, and even "fauna with coats of animals going from winter /white or shaggy to spring shed off to summer glossy and darker colors etc... just a thought and yes your trees look great so god jon and thanks for making it available
Seasonal foliage would be great, unfortunately it's not been implemented in Skyrim successfully. Bethesda started on it but decided it was too difficult and whilst others have tried, none have succeeded. You'll need to wait for the next Elder Scrolls to have that in Tamriel. You could do it yourself by swapping out mods and textures, that's as good as you'll get at the moment. VividWeathers has plans to add seasonal weather, that might be worth keeping an eye on.
Seasons of Tamriel? Seasons skyrim or whatever. I remember it was an enb. There are a couple of a simple weather or simple overhaul like mods that do something close to the matter, there isn't much to it, it's just there for convenience and immersion. I doubt, it's to the extent you guys are talking about though.
Do the new trees feature hanging moss like the old ones did? Because I can't see it in the screenshots and they're the number 1 source for this very useful alchemical ingredient (useful for leveling the skill at least).
Nevermind... I overlooked the part in the description where you said that you didn't change one tree type due to the moss.
The moss was a real pain and whenever I altered the mesh for that specific tree the moss would become detached and ended up hanging in 'mid air'. I tried many things and no matter what I did the only solution was to stick with the vanilla mesh, so in the end I rolled with it and re-textured the bark instead. This worked out great as this fixed the moss problem, plus it increased the variety as well. The only thing I didn't like was the billboard that came with that tree, but if it's too bright anyone can PM me for an alternative billboard that works better with brighter ENB's.
I can imagine that was nasty business. I wasn't trying to critizise the path you took though. I was just wondering if the moss was gone the moment I wrote this post. But it wasn't my day, I should have read the description more carefully. I really like the look of your trees.
Haha, I just reread my post, that does sound a bit brusque. It wasn't meant that way, I was just using your post as a springboard to get the information out, plus it was late and stuff. Anyway, now that's out the way, I want to tell you about some updates etc. I've worked out how to fix the overly glossy leaf textures, it looks a lot better. I've also got a file that does stuff to the reach trees in morthal swamp, akin to a dark fantasy effect. If you want to test them, PM me. Cheers.
Can someone please post an image of some of the trees in an otherwise vanilla Skyrim? The authors graphical changes are intense, and I want to make sure it works with the original dull Skyrim before I try adding it to my load order.
