      I think it's supposed to be a green colored Ebony Ingot.

      The obsidian ingot texture is used in the game for "Refined Malachite".

      Which is funny because they are not even the same thing at all. Malachite is this green ripple colour and was one of the first ores used in the past to make copper. Where as Obsidian is a very shiny volcanic black glass.

      Very odd indeed especially when TES Lore describes Ebony as being more or less similar to real world Obsidian.
