I like the idea, and was frankly searching for exactly this type of mod. It was hard to find. An idea would be a secondary version to increase the amount of lesser souls to completely fill greater gems. What I mean is, that at the moment, 1 petty would fill a petty gem. But 2 then fills a common and so on. That would mean I could kill 16(correct me if I'm wrong) skeevers to have a grand soul gem filled. Or 2 greater souls to fill a grand soul gem. It would be nice for an option to halve the souls value
i have alot of common(common) gems and also alot of greater(common) gems, nothing is happening between them, is there a way to fuse or something ? can you please make a spell that forces gems to fuse when it doesnt happen?
Could you please include an optional file that does include Azura's Star and the Black Star? I understand you didn't include them originally because it could break quests, but this optional file could be used by people who have already completed it.
I really want to use this mod but i think its conflicting with ordinator. soul trap just doesnt cast at all with this activated. As in, my char goes through the animation and the appropriate magicka is used but the spell doesnt fire. so even using it on a docile target doesnt agro them like it should. Any chance of a patch?
well its not ordinator and i dont know what else in my list could be causing it. afaik nothing alters the soul trap spell or mechanic at all. im sorry i cant use this mod anyone else having this issue?
Well good news is it didn't conflict. Bad news is this doesn't do quite what I thought it did. I thought it would take souls and cram them into whatever space a soul gem had left till it was full. Example. Fill a grand soul gem with like 5 petty souls or something. Maybe not that exact rate, but something along those lines. Instead this does something else. But I can confirm it works AS you described, and is good for those who are looking for this. But as for me, my search continues. Oh well, still a solid mod i'll keep in the mod manager incase I feel like switching things up.
Such a simple concept that should have been a natural part of the game. Thank you so much. I just hope it doesn't screw up my enchanting mods. I have mods that add new enchantments, mods that allow me to have WAY more than 2 enchantments, and mods that allow unlimited charges to a weapon.
I'm not sure I understand the mechanics; the melding is automatic?
{{{ For example, if you have 1 empty Greater soul gem and 2 empty Common soul gems, and you kill 3 Common souls.
--------->The first Common kill will completely fill the first Common soul gem.
------------->A second Common kill will completely fill the second Common soul gem.
------------------>The third Common kill will (??) partially fill the Greater soul gem; one of the Common soul gems will empty to fill the Greater soul gem 100%.
----->~~~So at the end of these three kills, you will have 1 filled Greater soul gem, 1 filled Common soul gem, and 1 empty Common soul gem. }}}
Am I mistaken? Still gonna test it out; I don't think your instructions were super clear.
Great work. Lore-wise, now I can use soul gems with 'Grand' fillings without condemning souls to the Soul Cairn. I'm excited to see the solution for Azura's star.
This additionally makes the mod Smart Souls unnecessary, right? Also, Is it perhaps possible to shift the whole thing to an SKSE mod to ensure compatibility and whatnot?
