Has anyone tried this? I keep trying to make the switch to SEE, then coming across a mod I can't be without and giving up on SSE for the hundredth time. :/ And people wonder why some of us are stubborn in our LE ways, lol.
I successfully did it once, but I can't remember exactly what it was that I did, because it was awhile ago. I may have deleted it though, which I now regret. Its easier to convert outfits, towns and homes to SSE than it is NPCs, there are some extra steps you need to take if you don't want your game to crash.
If there is ANY way you can work with the mod creator who has been making Serana like a fully detailed thousands of lines romance character... Please reach out to them! I have been itching so bad for a male companion like her and I love Lucien but the author isn't going to make him a romance character. Even if you can't make it for SSE I'm sure it can be ported over. I just would love for it to exist .-.
My all-time favorite romance-able thus far is Kaidan, but what I wouldn't give for someone to make Seran fully voiced for SSE as a romance to put all others to shame. How sexy would that vampire dude be, amirite?
If I knew HOW to do it, I would probably willingly fork over the money needed to create the lines over at Eleven Labs at this point (using a created AI voice and not one trained from a real person, of course). Alas, I don't know the first thing to do in that regard.
Thanks for the awesome mod! I seem to have run into a problem though: when we find Valerica in Soul Cairn, she and Seran won't talk to each other. At all. I can bypass these "family tensions" by using the console, but I'd really love to hear Seran actually talking about his feelings with his new voice. Guess I might've misplaced some files, or...? All the other conversations seem to run perfectly fine, but these two choose to have a staring match no matter what I do.
Okay, it got more serious. The barrier around Valerica refuses to fade as well. What did I break this time around? Edit: scrape that, now I'm not even sure it was this mod that caused the problems, as I've seemingly run into some notoriously common bug chain. Even if it was this one, like hell I'm removing it, male Serana best Serana.
I think people would like to know my experience with these same problems, which monkseal and I have discussed via PM:
I had all these same issues, as well as Seran refusing to follow without a follower mod (which is a big no-no for this NPC, but without, even if I use the 'moveto" console command to teleport him to the Castle Volkihar exterior, he immediately takes the Icewater Jetty away), Seran refusing to talk to anyone, from the guard at the Volkihar gate, to his parents, Harkon refusing to train me after turning me, and having to console my way through every step of the Soul Cairn after using AFT to make Seran follow.
I haven't been back to the Soul Cairn yet, but leaving Seran COMPLETELY uninstalled through my entire game until right before opening the Monolith has fixed all the issues that came before thus far.
So there you have it. If anyone has any of the issues we did, try leaving Seran completely installed until right before meeting him/her. In my first playthrough with Seran, I had done that, and the entire Dawnguard DLC went off without a hitch.
And I guess I'll leave some notes on consoling through Beyond Death here, as I ran into that bugchain again to a lesser degree. A bit more detailed than just setstaging the whole quest. So, ladied, lads, and ladles! If Your Seran/Serana and Valerica refuse to acknowledge each other: StartScene 04005875 starts their conversation, then after Valerica's chewed you out, StartScene 040071BE starts the second half. I haven't been able to make Valerica open the door herself yet, but just teleporting/pushing her close enough to the door and unlocking it via console seems to do the trick and make her go through on her own. Inside the Boneyard, StartScene 04014F84 to make everyone react to the dragon attack, and setessential 040030D8 to make this version of Durnehviir killable. These commands together seem to assure for me that later, Durnehviir appears as supposed to and acts friendly (but if he doesn't for you, you might use setstage DLC1VQDragon 10 to force him to talk to you properly) Again, wasn't able to make Valerica open the damn box, but, thankfully, you can get to the scroll by using tcl and just walking through the box.
Cute!! Yes, he could use a new voice, but I'm cool with it. Serana irritates me so this is a refreshing change. One thing I noticed, though, is that he's still called 'mysterious woman' when you first meet him.

Keep getting grey face on Seran no matter what I do. Esp is at the very bottom. Anyone else having this problem? Honestly, I think the grey matches with Seran, considering he's an undead. But I'd rather have it fixed, unless there's a way to make his body grey too lol
You have another mod that is trying to change Seran/Serana's appearance. Reinstall this mod and make sure it overwrites the meshes and textures for Seran's appearance.
cant seem to get it to work, game crashes after bethesda logo. tried everything aside removing all other mods (i have removed all mods that alter vamipre / vamp-lord) any suggestions apperiated
