I'm not the mod author, and since the account has been closed for more that a year now, I'm guessing that is a rhetorical statement. That's also a very good point, given that ERSO aims to be script free. My guess is that CE is incompatible with ERSO 30. Looking at them in TES5Edit, there is massive overlap, so you could use CE as a substitute for the ERSO Enhanced Enemy AI mod. Since.... "It (Combat Evolved) is made to compliment and work with the three major combat overhauls: Duel - Combat Realism, Deadly Combat, and Ultimate Combat." right from the CE page. I'd recommend that over the ERSO 30 in conjunction with Deadly Combat Lite, which was released after ERSO Reborn was developed and Duel V-5. All of the major combat mods that I've found have scripts, though I haven't dug deep to determine how often they run or the actual "in game" script load. if you have some combat mods that are script free that you favor, please point them out, I'd be grateful and it would help everyone looking into this. Everyone is free to pick mods that fit it their play styles and goals, none of the other mods are dependent on DC. Lastly, SKSE is really a necessity for a modded LE - just for the memory manager, if nothing else.
Thanks for the info. It's kind of frustrating figuring out which mods will actually work intended in my game. I know there people who say they run 500+ mods perfectly and with a lot of scripts running too, but my experience usually ends in failure. I've also been told that a lot of scripts isn't necessarily a bad thing if the author has a good reputation or something, but I think with combat especially, you have to be careful.
The thing I like about Combat Evolved is that it makes the block mechanics more like Dark Souls where you block more, but it drains stamina and weapon attacks also drain stamina. I know other combat mods do that, but CE is script free. OFC as mentioned earlier, I don't know if script-free is without problems, but this at least gives me some piece of mind. There was a lightweight overhaul that did similar things which I wanted to use (has Dark Souls in the title), but it strangely affected potions despite there being nothing I could find about that in TES5Edit.
Hi, using this mod and cannot get the soul trap spell to work. The spell makes the hand animation, and mana is consumed, but nothing ever happens to the target, even when I am in touch range. Soul trap works fine from an enchanted weapon. Is this intended?

Edit: I found the issue. Path of shadows is abandoned and breaks soul trap. Please make this note in the description for this mod group as it breaks the game for anyone wanting to use soul trap
Honestly, nope. Specifically, in ERSO mod list there aren't mods that change the soul trap spell. Probably this issue is related to a mod not into ERSO list.
This is pretty old, but I just wanted to say that the only thing that Path of Shadows does to the soul trap is change one flag, from loud to silent - nothing else. Unless there was a corrupted DL (or the script was bugging out) it couldn't have been that mod. Anyone can check it in TES5Edit to verify it. My .02 worth.
Do you have access to the updated version of "Radiance" that was previously offered along with the rest of ERSO? If so, would you consider uploading it (presuming the open permissions apply to it)?
