I've noticed some entries for the 2h versions of the sword in the CK that (unless you did that on purpose) are wrong:
ImpactDataSet: should be set to "WPNzBlade2HandImpactSet" AlternateBlockMaterial: should be set to "MaterialBlockBlade2Hand" AttackFail: should be set to "WPNSwing2Hand"
These settings are according to the changes of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch (USKP).
Ah, yes, all that is intentional. Since there's no difference in the sword between the 1 and 2 handed versions, apart from how it's held and used, I saw no reason to set it to use the 2-handed material types and swing sound. The only change I made in that regard was the sheathing and unsheathing sounds.
this is great work no doubt, beautiful sword and realistic...
But Isilmeriel add this baby on is LOTR pack and I can not understand why some people say that this one looks so much better...a matter of likes I guess, both this 2 swards are amazing but I have Isilmeriel pack and unless this changed his meshes to try it I would not and can't add another esp file to my load order just for a sward !
Besides Isilmeriel made a outstanding pack that I use since day one and will not change it for another Mod that adds the same weapon...
If you could make a textures replacer of his sward would be nice otherwise I am sorry but will keep mine...
Thanks and will endorse cause it still is a great work...
That's all right, without a direct comparison it wouldn't be easy to tell the differences between this one and Isil's, and Isil's is still nicely done, just...not entirely screen-accurate, and me being a stickler for accuracy it bugged me, hence why this exists.
That said, while the mod isn't a mesh replacer for Isil's version, you could make it so. The mesh for the standard sword is named exactly the same as Isil's, so you can install the loose files version (sans the .esp) and then just copy the WitchkingSword.nif from meshes/weapons/witchking and paste it into meshes/isil/WitchKingSword. 'Course you'll wanna back up Isil's original mesh before doing so in case you wanna revert.
I didn't say it looks better (although it indeed looks better). I said it looks much more than the actual movie version. I would even say it is an exact replica whereas Isimeriel's version is more an inspired by version. Compared to this version here it looks a little bit chunky (especially the grip but also the blade).
It has nothing to do with the almost sophisticated design of the sword used in the movie. And that is no matter of likes.
..."Don't Need to Back up my files", Those are some dangerous words my friend, Might as well have said "What Could Possibly Go Wrong". At any rate, My complements to the Mod Author, Sword Looks.... precious, so, Very, Very Precious....
Thank ya. :3 I referred pretty heavily to the United Cutlery version and whatever else I could find since it was the most accurate to the movie prop, insofar as its form goes.
I have pictures from the LOTR costume gallery, sadly they didn't have hi-res photos but still. I put together all the photos from the 3 films into one single gallery http://imgur.com/a/VszAZ/all
Though the ones relating to the Witch-King's sword would be these. http://i.imgur.com/6l9zrDg.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6lAXRww.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pEhZhFi.jpg
Also i'm wondering, do any of the uploaded files just add the sword to the craft table, rather than adding it to the game's world?
As it is, the "true" sword is found in the gameworld, Valthume specifically, but once you have it you can craft a clean version, and turn it into an old one at a smelter.
Hello i really like the look of this sword and it must have taken a long time to make, but i have problems trying to find it. i have tried looking on steam mod page for hints and clues and here also but i cannot find anything. I have been looking for a while and would like to see the sword and not spend 30 minutes trying to find it ( i mean it gives the fun hunting for it) but i have been looking and cannot find so maybe some more hints?
I just put up an image that shows where the sword is located in the Valthume Catacombs, so hopefully that should help out. The sword ~should~ be there, if it isn't then Skyrim Sorcery happened or the mod's not active.
The dwarf armour would be even better, we have every armour type going for Elves, humans, orcs, etc but no traditional dwarf style armour IE none Eldar scrolls Dwarfs.
Ps if you search someone had made the hobbits weapons.
I don't have any plans currently on doing the dwarven weapons from the Hobbit, though I might sometime. I can't say I'd do the armor though since I've never done armor and would need to get a hang of doing it. That said though I might do Strider's ranger sword next, I feel like it could use some lovin'.
@ DMagnus Look? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5727/? AND http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29730/?
@madpaddy that mod you are speaking of doesnt do anything but add like one ax. It doesnt do the swords and it was poorly done. It has crappy textures and looks nothing like the ones in the movies.
Isilmeriel did a fantastic Narsil/Anduril and Mil's retexture is great, but Narsil isn't the sword I'm talking about, it's this one: http://www.kultofathena.com/images%5CPOUC1299S_l.jpg
Oh I know what sword you are talking about. Strider's Sword has also already been done. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28545/? It was added to this pack from a stand alone version here.
Aye, I'm aware of its presence in the Ghosu weapon pack, but it's not about to hinder me, since as far as I know that's the only decent one around and I'm sure some people would like a good standalone version to faff about with, plus it's more practice for me.
I always loved Aragorn's old Strider sword. Narsil/Anduril is beautiful, but there's something wonderfully simplistic about the Strider sword. Looking forward to that if you make it!
This sword is unbelievably gorgeous, too. Will work perfectly for a more evil character, next time I play. Genuinely can't decide if I like the clean or rusted version better ha. Outstanding work!
Isilmeriel's rendition of the sword is mainly why I made this one. Don't get me wrong, theirs is nicely done, but the form of it just never sat right with me.

Thanks for the work once more its always good for people to have choices , if I wanted just this sward I would probably pick your Mod ...
I use this add on texture for LOTR that is outstanding improvement on his set...

But the blade is too dazzling

You can gets a clean one without sacrificing the old one, so you could wield both if you felt so inclined. :3
@DMagnus
Np mate it was a long shot, great sword thanks for sharing.
These are what i had in mind. I am in love with the Hobbit and LOTR and I hope that one day my collection will be complete.... lol
Great!
And thank you very much!
