Nice. I was looking at that other one, and thinking "wouldn't it make more sense if only friendly NPCs stopped saying this?", and lo and behold, someone's beat me to it.

It used to work, but now everyone just goes up to my dog to call it stupid. I don't know what changed, I did uninstall 2 mods but they didn't really have anything to do with dogs (except maybe Moonlight Tales Essentials). I uninstalled and reinstalled the mod, dismissed and asked to follow again and nothing. I just finished doing something nice for them then they thank me by mentally abusing my poor dog. Poor Meeko isn't stupid they're stupid for having stupid faces. I use AFT but I used it while it worked before.

Thank you!!! "Stupid Dog" was getting on my nerves, hated it. It was immersion breaking for me because a) it was nearly constant b) i love dogs and would surely tell folks following me to knock it off. "Good Dog" is so much better, and they don't seem to say it as much which is great too. Two paws up :).

This only affects dogs owned by the player I think.

EDIT: Nevermind just read the description of the latest update. This issue is now fixed!

"New version released: I finally fixed a couple of things that were bugging me namely Hunter and Dog (WEJS21) and Ardwen? and dog (WEJS13) would still say "stupid dog" to their respective follower dogs.

They'll now say "good dog!" to their dogs instead. They may possibly say the same to random other dogs too as theres no easy way to filter out every possibility, this is not a bug."

A must have for Meeko fans, also consider "hush doggy" (22124)

Well that's a nice mod for dog lovers. Sadly I'm a cat person and I would most certainly say "stupid dog" if I was an NPC in Skyrim, as I would say in real life if a dog like that was barking at me. I can't help but laugh and feel the anguish of the NPC being irritated by that mutt. karma be damned.

Assuming you're not actually trolling, and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here, I'd say what makes you think no-one else likes cats? I'm a cat person too. I made this mod because my adopted kids after incessantly begging me for a dog kept saying "stupid dog!" right after they adopted it, and thats simply not acceptable.

I tend to think saying "stupid dog" is probably much safer than saying "stupid cat." Probably not the best thing to say if you happen to be in a room full of khajiit, but I have said "bad kitty" to Inigo a couple of times.

aw damn. i wanted this so badly ages ago, but all we had was that other mod that make's 'em stop saying anything. and i have that buried deep in a large merge mod a made long time ago. wonder if this mod would just safely overwrite the other Wintehawk's, or if there'd be bad conflicts

Ha! If I'd had this during my last playthrough poor Iona would still be alive. She dissed Meeko once too often, I punched her and after that things got nasty. We didn't go to the cellar in Honeyside for weeks after that because of the smell from her room... Will endorse once I've actually tried it, for now let me just say I like your approach.

Yes, good. Now it will be easier to identify who must be punished for their sins.
