    Sticky
A couple of people have asked about my hair/face/body mods and asked me to upload a preset from my screenshot. That's weird because I usually try to make a character look like me, and it'd be weird to think of someone downloading me for an estrus plaything. But I'm OK with letting yall know what I use, it's all pretty basic. I use every body's different so my NPCs' textures are a mix of SG, BI phenotypes, true daughters of skyrim, mature skin, etc. (I keep the face normals from my characters' texture set though, just delete the other normals from the texture packs for EBD). I use women of Skyrim body textures and women of Skyrim face normal maps (+ the smooth elves optional file, I find this means I can live without EEO and its compatibility issues), CBBE with a bodyslide preset I made (I like the look of UNP so it's similar but I use other stuff that requires bodyslide/CBBE so I stick with it), Navetsea's face textures ("with makeup" version) and the darker liptint mask optional file plus the body normals only from the "feminine arms toned abs" patch, the freckles are moar freckles by Zhoken, the eyes are the eyes of beauty, with the eye normal map fix and Ran's eye reflection extender, the brows in the picture come from the CBBE face pack (feminine brows and darker), the hair in the picture is KS Hairdos Renewal. All my textures have been tweaked a little here and there over time so they might be slightly different from the originals but mostly you'll get the same look with those files. I think normals make the most difference overall, you can use the normals only by looking for files ending in _n.dds or _msn.dds (IE femalehead_msn.dds)

I relly like this mod, but it would be fine if you can change the fine hat model with a plumed hat like the ones in bob's armory or Luddemanns Armory.

Been looking for something like this for so long. Gave you a kudos and will endorse asap.

Edit: Although I do wish you had another model for the actual "fine hat" instead of turning it into circlet. But I suppose this will do for now.

I can tell you how to replace the model with whatever you like, but I can't publish just anything. Got a hat model you like? It can go in the fine hats' place. But I can only publish replacers with assets I have permission for from the original author. I don't publish my own .nif experiments, they suck. There are several good models in Bob's armory.

Somehow amidst your diatribe you convinced me that I need this, but sadly I don't find many NPCs who wear the ugly hats to begin with. Hemming is a douchebag anyway, so I don't care if he wears an ugly hat.

Your mom is a diatribe. Really it was a simple request and I feel bad for anyone who can't do it for themselves, we all start somewhere and we should be nicer to new users... I'm more interested if anyone wants my way more interesting personal plugin I've been using for years that I described at the bottom of my book.

I try to be nice to new users... and I think I pull it off most of the time, but it's hard. The struggle is real.

Like most mods, I didn't know I wanted this until I saw it and the fashion faux pas was made obvious. I changed the display name on the hat to Circlet as well, in case one ends up in my inventory. Also deleted the dirty edits (two in the main file - from the CK I bet) and merged it with my collection of other ESP tweaks.

The personal mod sounds interesting - some of those mods you mention caught my eye, but were too much of hassle to integrate with my setup. I'd say go ahead and start asking for permission to re-release the assets now because you're not likely to get fast responses on all of 'em. Also, pix or it didn't happen.

Lol I JUST did those things.... I had had the circlet stuff copied into the new mod while I was building it so I could switch between them without all the damn scrolling for reference, and forgot to take them out.

Buuut I fixed it. And originally I thought "the less I change, the better", but really I like mods that you can't really tell are mods better, so I renamed it to fit the set. Because I'm OCD like that o.O (that's an eye twitch face). I'm rebuilding everything right now, about to start a new playthrough, so I didn't wanna upload a screen with all vanilla stuff and shame my game. But it'll come

My clothes plugin is like an ongoing thing for me. For the number of edits it makes, it makes a HUGE difference, it only changes like 15 records or something like that and tons of stuff is altered. Pretty cleanly, too. I just get tired of downloading these pretty clothing mods and not using them. And I'm just one Dovahkiin, I can only have so many lesbian marriages to display them But I think I'm gonna go ahead and try.

I have similar trouble with the clothing mods. They look really fantastic, but I have no desire to take it upon myself to dress up the NPCs in my game all pretty-like and/or download and repackage half a dozen texture replacers (though I did get carried away and do it for horse barding...), but if there were a mod I could download that would just fix all of that... Katy's Skyrim Fashion Overhaul perhaps?

Also, would your mod cover Vittoria Vici? Her wedding attire is just appalling. Looks like a cross dresser getting ready for the beach (not that there's anything wrong with that...).

I was thinking more like Katy's Un-derpified Nobles and Traders, because I think sneaking in dirty acronyms is hilarious and I'm immature. But whatever, I'm a ways off anyway with all the permissions. Naihaan is gonna be the one to hold it up, I already know, urshi only reuploaded the elven dresses thing. And SC doesn't care but that file is just retextures, they require the dress mesh by urshi and he's set it to hidden ("fixing it")-- I have the file but I'm 99% sure he won't want me republishing it. Sooooo maybe I'll need to make an alternate version based on what permissions I can get. But without the elven dresses from naihaan the whole thing kind of falls apart, that's really the limiting factor. BLEH. I know what you mean, I'm sure a lot of people would love a standalone mashup of these mods that doesn't clutter the crafting menu and just shows up in the leveled lists and outfits, that's really what they're meant to do. It's been a bit by bit thing for me, very gradual. But it's gotten to a point where I'm really happy with it now and making it standalone would not be a huge step, I was thinking of doing it myself anyway, there's a lot to the originals I just don't bother with.

In my game she wears the white dress from urshi's noble wedding dress, the file he's set to hidden, looks SOOOOO much better. But if I wasn't allowed to use that I'd use the white one from naihaan's set. You're right, it's ridiculously ugly and dumb in vanilla. I do not think a single woman alive would stand for that foolishness in a WEDDING DRESS of all things.

Gotcha, and agreed - those elven dresses are pretty much essential. Too often I find great texture resources on the Nexus that just need some extra work in the CK to really integrate them nicely into the game. Lookin' forward to what you come up with if/when you decide to git 'r' done.

      ... K weird.

And that depends. I'm not a modder, I'm a so-so texturer and I've been doing this a long time, but I can't make just anything happen, I couldn't script my way out of a paper bag. I mostly tweak and modify and fix things to suit my tastes and fit my game. But I don't mind doing what I can and/or helping people learn to help themselves if I'm able to.

I know, I'm surprised this doesn't exist yet. I have no idea what they were thinking with those things.
