All of the new weathers should be covered in this patch. Keep in mind that thunder sounds are completely random and may not always happen. There should not be any bugs but you can report them in the bugs section.
ANNOUNCEMENT: I have mostly retired from producing patches for various Skyrim mods, and so support on the pages will be very limited as I no longer visit often. This may pick back up with the release of the special edition. Thanks for the support
hey since theres no real shelter discussion here, im wondering is this patch not compatble with real shelter or its just me? cos my shelter didnt work after i insttaled this patch anyway thanks for the patch!
Edit: nvm it works! looks like im done something wrong when repatching rs patch
Thanks for this ! Quick question I installled Climates of Tamriel + ELFX .. I use True Storms and I installed the ELFX Patch from the installer.. now I installed this patch so I have: Climates of Tamriel + ELFX + True Storms + True Storm's ElfxWeathers patch + Climates of Tamriel True Storms patch...
Nice, thank you so much! Now all I need is an updated Lightning During Thunderstorms/Minty's Lightning CoT5 patch to get rid of the silent dry lightning and I'm set .
What does this patch do exactly? (I'm new to all this) I saw that the old weather patch is not recommended for V5 CoT. Why would we need a weather patch, I took before/after screenshots with this installed (properly-used LOOT) and I don't see any difference while it was raining...?
This is not a weather patch for COT, it is a patch for True Storms (another mod) and COTv5. This patch ensures that all of True Storm's sound assets as well as the rain shaders and interior sound effects are used with all the new stormy and rainy weathers added by COTv5.
"...Us this one instead of the one in the True Storms installer." = to not choose CoT in the installer of True storm and just install this patch after true storm right ?
Just to make it absolutely clear... Install CoT5 and in True Storms installer choose under True Storms Packages: Vanilla - YES, Climates of Tamriel - NO, CoT Weather Patch - NO If you have other mods installed e.g. RLO or ELFX select their corresponding patches. If using Supreme Storms by MannyGT select Supreme Storms CoT - YES
I am not sure how the supreme storms patch plays with this. I will have to take a look to see what it does exactly. This patch is really meant for just COT and True Storms. I don't use supreme storms so I am not even sure what patches you need for it. Ill take a look at it and get back to you.
Okay I took a look at the mod page for supreme storms and it is not currently even compatible with COTv5. He will need to update his mod to be compatible before it can be used in tandem with COT v5 and True Storms I believe. On top of that, the patch from the True storms installer for supreme storms will need to be updated as well.
Thanks for the prompt reply! Yep, MannyGT has posted that the Supreme Storms patch is on the way. However, it somehow works with CoT5 as I get snowy Supreme Storms. May be because of some compatibility tweaks done in CoT5 (http://climatesoftamriel.skyrim.modunion.com/patches/) As True Storms mod only affects rainy weathers I can not really tell the difference between two of them. Your True Storm patch works no issues so far. Endorsed!
Thanks! I think supreme storms wouldn't be "incompatible" in a sense. COTv5 adds new weathers and I think supreme storms would have to be patched to apply to the new weathers. So, sometimes the snow will show up like it should when playing old weather types. That is why it is incompatible.
I've noticed this a lot with mixing/matching weather mods with no and/or out-of-date patches. It will work sometimes and not others, depending on which records still work fine and which now need tuning. It creates all sorts of mismatching reports on what is compatible with what.
So far my only problem with having a bunch of weather mods that probably shouldn't be running at once is a jerky motion of the night sky, as opposed to the smooth twinkle the stars should have.

Load order TrueStorms only: 1.) ClimatesOfTamriel.esm 2.) TrueStorms.esp 3.) TrueStorms-ClimatesOfTamriel.esp (this Patch)
Load order TrueStorms + Supreme Storms:
1.) ClimatesOfTamriel.esm 2.) SupremeStorms.esp 3.) SupremeStorms - Cot Version.esp 4.) TrueStorms.esp 5.) TrueStorms-ClimatesOfTamriel.esp (this Patch) 6.) TrueStorms-SupremeStorms-CoT.esp (Supreme Storms patch)
Correct?
