Preset v2 has a fair resemblance to the actress and TV series character, and is a great improvement over v1. I see that you have a standalone follower based on preset v1 - would it be possible to make a follower version based on v2?
I have found that it is very hard for someone to take a preset and make a follower that looks much like the preset, maybe due to the required appearance mods compared to appearance mods that may already be running in our game?
Nice work, and thanks for sharing your creations with us!
Cant say that the actress is beautiful, but still more attractive than the preset, sorry. I just cant understand that wide chin/jaw fetish and these "sad" eyebrowns...
oh don't worry.. i know that my work is a bit far from the real one.. But Racemenu is a difficult way for sculpt a copy.. anyway i hope that someone will make a better version of this character, mine is a good start. Thanks for post!
I know it's hard as hell to use the bloody racemenu... You can check my failiurs of Katarina (from LoL) in my images... But that's why I dont upload her preset ^^
oh come on, I am less thoughtful .. I love constructive criticism and would not get the same results by posting images only (no one said) .. And in the end if you like to download otherwise you look and no more.. ;-)
mmm .. I am Italian, and perhaps I can express myself well in English .. BUT TRY TO TELL YOU THAT YOUR CRITICS HELP ME DO BETTER AND I THANK YOU! .. The truth gets hurt in other ways;-) P.S. I hope that no one now criticize me just to feel thank :-P
You know that little tip of your just sounds like a thinly veiled jab to me and it was only offered after several replies from the mod author to either leave constructive critisicm or not at all. I for one agree with them, you're really not helping anything with your comments. It's not edgy or cool to be as rude as you are, you're just being pointless... get over yourself.
Calm your anger you ignorant... I already said why im writing it so direct and rude... Far as you know, my comments might make him want to improve and make an actually good preset next time
ok, you know what I need .. do not waste time arguing between us .. are already working to implement the suggested changes to each of you .. it's nice to get concrete answers! bye!
Whether something is good or not is purely objective. Just because you might not think it is, doesn't mean everyone else thinks the same. I know for a fact you don't speak for the populous.
I think she is fine the way she is. Could I have done better? Nope, so unless I can, I won't criticize.
I think you did a great job. I just wish the show wasn't complete garbage. MTV makes a mockery of my favorite fantasy books, I will never forgive them.
@uptoolayte As a die-hard Terry Brooks fan, I have to agree with your sentiments regarding the butchering of the books - I own all 17 of the books in the series, all lovingly read & reread many times. Hisor did a great job of trying to capture the essence of the TV character, and I urge him to continue his efforts.
Sadly, the real Amberle is thin, with red hair, and never wielded a weapon - she was a healer / caretaker of the lands, following the ways of her people in caring for the land. The writers / casting directors took a few too many liberties with Terry Brooks' work, and I wonder how he ever brought himself to sign off on the burchery being performed on his incredible books.
Thanks dsan, really i must to rename my preset ''Poppy Drayton from Shannara'' .. a few of us can imagine how the real princess Amberle appear.. But i think that this huge tv serie can awaken the spirit of dreamers like modders and gamers of fantasy games .. I believe that the mods will come soon and like rain!..
Nay - stay the course with the name - she IS Amberle from the TV series, and that is the character you are basing this on.
For those who are overly concerned that she does't match the books, well, there's mods out there that can be used to alter her appearance, if we decide to be prigishly purist about it. Far too few have actually read the books, so only a handful will really know that the TV character doesn't match up with the book character. (I could be wrong on this assumption)
If there is such a desire to create the Amberle as describd in the books, just call it "Amberle from the Wishsong of Shannara" - that will allow us to choose the flavor we want - a sword weilding elf princess, or a healer (magic-oriented) princess.
But you are right in the fact that the TV series can awaken the creative juices in modders / players. I actually caught the first episode last week - while it didn't stay to the Wishsong of Shannara, the elements of the story were there, and I recognize the fact that alot of the liberties they took were to bring in the non-initiated into the Shannara world. That will then lead more than a few to read the books. What has happened with the TV series is that they are playing for a large audience, not a specific audience of those who read the books.
Just as they cut out the Tom Bombadil scene from LoTR (hey - who would stay in a theatre if they suddenly broke out into a song & dance routine), the producers have to keep the audience in mind, and creative license needs to be applied.
Stay with it, and don't worry about the occasional purist prig (me) coming out of the woodwork.
WoW .. Thank you so much for your comment! i really appreciate the spirit of your words and i'm proud to see a real and learned fan of the book stories on this website! .. and now it beggins .. @woodwork!?! AMAZING ART!.. I'm a firefighter and the real world is far away from skyrim or middle earth or the four worlds.. here i can escape.. you have the spirit that i would .. Thank you again.
Judging by the photos of the actress, you did a decent job. The racemenu isn't that easy to work with as far as matching a real person's features. I would say that the forehead could be a bit shorter, and the eyebrows more arched, but otherwise, it's fairly close.
yes, thanks I think that the facial expressions are responsible for the brows apparence ..and the modified of the eyes does his part .. the preset is editable and i'd uploaded this for who can (time and patience) do better from my start.. ok for the forehead, and i check the eyes soon.

Tip. Poppy is a small lady, I mean she's ~165 tall and 45 kilos far as I remember, so her face just looks wide, but it's not so make it thinner
