For now, this utility shown only NPCs, but technically, can also display items. But there seems to be no meaning to show RefID of items. I mean, people who "I want to know the RefId of Sweetrolls on the table in Dragons Reach" would not be. You might want to know BaseID to add items to inventory, but there are great mods "AddItemMenu - Ultimate Mod Explorer" to add items in-game. So still difficult to decide that.
Hi there! Many many thanks for endorsements. ARIGATO!
** Version 1.1.5 There is no additional features. Bug fixes only. - Fixed a bug that cannot load Dragonborn.esm. It occurs when don't cleaning with TES5Edit. Processing of XXXX field was incorrect. My silly mistake... sorry for that! - Rebuild with Visual Studio 2015.
This is an essential mod for me. I'm happy to report that it works fine in SSE. I simply copied both the .exe and .ini files from Oldrim to the Skyrim SE directory, and then edited the .ini using notepad to change 1 line, where it says "openFileLastFolder". Just put the path to your SE Data directory, e.g. something like: openFileLastFolder=D:\SkyrimSE\Data
I tried this and it still finds my Skyrim LE data. Does anybody know how to configure this, or an alternative. It's one of those essential tools that haven't made the trip to SSE and are sadly missed.
I still find it ridiculous that we have to wait 15 minutes before endorsing the golden utilities like this. It literally just takes a minute to test and see what a timesaver this is. I really wish I knew earlier that this existed, thanks for this so much
What a lifesaver. By far the easiest and fastest way to find the RefID of a 'lost' NPC. An essential tool. Why it isn't better known and more endorsed beats me. Many thanks. P.S. Further to qa1886 question - It launches from Vortex without problem.
OMG I hate you so much. You just saved me a half-day's worth of work. Why didn't you tell me about your mod earlier? Nevermind that. I have to think of a proper way to thank you. What's your sister's number?
Haha thanks Shadohz, I am glad to hear that :) Maybe I should support SSE. I'm working on update and I will add some new features to it, but I can't promise release date now.
This is a handy little tool i dont know why i didnt find this sooner this is really useful if you have many custom followers and you dont know where they are.
Simple, light, and useful. BTW I noticed a few typo: "Skyrims Language: English (Defined in Skyrim.ini)" ---> "Skyrim Language: English (Defined in Skyrim.ini)" (remove "s")
"To fully show NPC information, check the "Read records from Master Plugins" option." ---> "Enable "Read records from Master Plugins" option to search all NPC base records." (Because "To fully show" is unnatural.)
and, would you change "copy console command"'s format from: --- ; Alicia SetEssential xx00183D 1 ---
to: --- SetEssential xx00183D 1; Alicia --- (Skyrim will simply ignore after ";")
I've not taken an English class until now, I studied English only by a Skyrim, so my English is poor. I'm very happy to get a lot of advice. Advice of the comment description was very helpful!! I did not know that there is such a way of writing! I'll fix it when release the next version. Thank you very much!
If you learned to speak English this well simply by playing one game, you're doing really well for yourself thus far.
As for the script correction; unless it's coded in the application to be read from multiple lines at once, it will work just fine. Papyrus scripts only read one line at a time. To explain, it will read like this and work just fine:
;Alicia (won't read this line) SetEssential xx00183D 1 (will read this line)
It will not read those lines as if they are like this:
;Alicia SetEssential xx00183D 1
Essentially, the placement of ";Alicia" has no bearing on the script itself unless it is all placed on the same line. So I really don't think you need to change that at all. Plus it looks cleaner and more organized the way you have it now. It's easier to read and simpler to tell which script is applied to what actor.
